... and who would you risk your life for? It may seem obtuse but it's how I decide how much I care.. GIVE: Sons, grandchildren. RISK: Wife, relatives, mates including GA, RAW, PARA, GIL, etc. Warrabout you?
Give/risk for my family at the drop of a hat, on holiday with my two grand kids now and would do anything if their lives were endangered and I could make a difference.
Give my life for my wife and son, mam and dad without hesitation. Everyone else can take a running jump.
The Mrs (my world), ma kids, and ma grandson. Tho who knows what I’d do in a life we’d or death situation. But I can’t swim, so if yer struggling in water, yer wasting yer time!! Bart
I'd only give my life for my son and my step son. When you have bairns it's your responsibility to protect them, so I'd hate to think I'd given my life for anyone else and left them without me! I'd probably risk my life for the missus, my family and my closest mates, but if I actually knew I'd end up dead they'd have to fend for themselves
I'd risk my life for almost anyone tbh but there's a degree. I'd give my life for certain people and take a big risk for people like GA, RAW, etc ... ... but take a decent risk for a fair few others.
I was sitting on the beach today watching the g'kids play with some biggish waves splashing in... a 2 or 3 year old toddled up to the edge of the water, the beach is steeply shelved and their was a bit of an undertow sweeping swimmers down the beach somewhat. You asked the question... well I was asking myself if the bairn gets swept away, am I going in after him? His mum must have noticed he was missing at long last and came running along to pick him up..we had a little nod!
We all like to think we love our friends and family ... ... but it's remarkable how few people we'd give our lives for. Anyone older than me wouldn't stand a chance tbb
My wife and son is a given. I used to have 5 mates I have known and grew up with all the way from school. Still went out once a week with them until one died last year. I would think in certain situations I would give my life for them. Then dependent on circumstances again there are a couple on here who I have been fortunate enough to meet who I believe I would risk myself for them.
I think I’d risk my life for just about anyone, risk suggests you could survive it and I think human nature would kick in if you thought you could save someone.
When I was 5, I walked out on a frozen river, and just kept going until the ice broke. I was in up to my shoulders. Somebody else's Dad saved me. Thank you.
It’s ****ing with my head this, I keep thinking of Grandpops, he once said if it came to you kids or your mam I would save your mam as we could always have more kids, I could never find another like your mam
