Unfortunately I've only just got home and wasn't able to sponge any selections but looks like a couple on here have duly obliged, well done to those. Just managed to see ARISTOCRATIC LADY win very costly indeed.
You leave Hayley alone you bully. You don’t ride 100 winners in a season without being a very capable jockey. Also one of the nicest people in racing!
Very sad that the injury sustained by FLY MISS HELEN was fatal. The highs and lows of this game can be brutal.
profit , winner , nowhere and slightly unlucky second for the ew shot . seems many had a good day today , always tommorow for us two bob jonahs to make some ale money .....
The Sweet Solera was a tragic race. It was sickening to see Fly Miss Helen perish on only her second visit to a racecourse. Not quite sure what to make of the race. The winner was a huge price, yet she was only 3 lbs lower on official ratings that my selection Danilova, who was 5/2 CF. If we take the Mark Johnston filly as running to her 98 rating, the winner has improved 14 lbs to win today, which is possible but given the shape of the race it seems dubious. Setarhe was joint top rated on OR coming in but she hasn't run to that today and Danilova has finished behind an officially rated 72 filly who was 150/1 today. Danilova has not run to her 88 mark today and it seemed an ill advised quick return to the track by Charlie Appleby, who obviously thought the Dubawi filly could be competitive today. It has been a generally disappointing race in terms of future success and this year's Sweet Solera strongly suggests that it will not be a factor for this year or next. I tried to recover my losses on Omnivega, who I studied last night and concluded he was still feasibly handicapped, but he ran on without ever having a chance of getting up. That's Racing as the say. I could not believe my eyes last night when I saw Caradoc as 7/2 favourite for the race. Sixth and ninth on last two starts and never won at the trip. Bad favourite who only beat one home today. Madness.
The horse never knows the price , but ryan said he fancied it to be top three , hadn’t run badly previously , and loved that uphill finish , was going away at the end ........may have been second if the fav hadn’t tragically broke down , we will never know , one thing , the winning owners have got some bargain there whatever happens
You bet on favourites in handicaps, then blame the jockey when one gets beat? You deserve to lose your money mate.
In the last 14 days the Brilliant Ryan Moore has had 47 rides winning on 8 - 17% The lesser known spotted Kevin Stott has had 47 rides winning on 13 - 28% Your man is either extremely out of form or not as good as you think.
He’s not “my man”. I seldom follow jockeys - Frankie occasionally, and McCoy back in the day, if I was ever tempted to bet on slow farm animals. If you have some sort of issue with Ryan Moore, that’s your lookout. Punters are strange people. I think he’s one of the best in the business, but when I bet I generally look at the Formbook, stable form, price, and about a hundred other things before considering the man or woman doing the steering.
