The Sweet Solera Stakes sees Fly Miss Helen as favourite and the Hannon filly won in taking style on debut. This is a step up though and the filly she beat last time was beaten next time out and remains a maiden after five starts now and is only rated 76 on official figures. That is quite a low figure when considering a Group 3 contest today. Dubai Fountain is 2/3 and her official rating is 98, meaning that Fly Miss Helen is taking on a much better filly today. The downside for her is what I see as inconsistency from many of Mark Johnston's 2YO horses in terms of progression and the stable is one I generally find hard to fathom as to when they will actually run to their best on any given day. Danilova makes a quick return to action after winning last Saturday. It is assumed the stable feel she is ready for the step up in class and she won cosily last time. Backed as if defeat was out of the question that day, she did it in the style of a filly with more to come. 2nd on her previous start, the good winner that day went on to go close behind an unbeaten Andre Fabre horse in a French Group 3. Danilova appeals as one who will progress nicely and a chance was taken that she can make the leap after 7 days. On official figures she is rated 88 and has to make ground on Dubai Fountain but it is not out of the question that she can improve enough. Proven at the trip and with the stable a gnat's knacker away from a 30% strike rate, Danilova was my pick at 7/2 3.20 Newmarket Danilova 7/2

What on earth was Hayley Turner doing on Omnivega? Surely a winner next time, provided she isn't on it that is
I can't be having that Ron!! Nothing wrong with our Hayley..she don't look half bad done up in a pair of heels. Not a bad jockey at times too..her performance in the Ascot 2.25pm race was very eye catching..
