The pitch would be a mess in League 1 though.

His stats in all competitions this season are...

    Played 10
    Scored 14
    Assisted 10

    Absolutely insane!

He's simply the best player i've ever watched - his touch and control are out of this world! <yikes>

He scored 50+ goals at the highest club level last season and although he had a poor World Cup by those incredible standards, he's still the best i've seen and is going to get better!!!

Defenders currently spend the entire game trying to kick him all over the shop and he just bounces off defenders with perfect balance or glides around them. They can't get close to him.

Championship players wouldn't get anywhere near him.

    The whole concept is ridiculous.

As for pitches, I don't think you realise how amazing the top players' ball control is. They could be playing on a slagheap, with no shoes on, using a golf ball and still have impeccable ball control.

In the Championship I think he'd score 20-25 and get about 10-12 assists.

Playing in League One, even without quality players surrounding him I think he could take on a lot of teams by himself and would be terrifying. If the ball is hoofed up to him and he can get on the end, he will score.

I think he would be targetted to a rediculous degree, teams doubling up (even tripling up) on him which would create space for his teammates. I say 12 goals in 5 games before getting snapped in two and out for the rest of the season.

So in answer to your question, 12.

I would say not many, team would put 3 players on him to stop him from even receiveing the ball. His team mates would get a few as everyone would be just pre-occupised with Messi.
