http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-15116064 What's your take on this? It's pretty pointless because it will not stop lane huggers and it will not stop people who purposefully drive at half the speed limit. How about introducing a minimum speed limit people? Driving too slow is as dangerous as driving too fast.
I've always had a rule that I'd never drive more than 25mph above the speed limit so this is excellent news, 105mph helps
A speed limit per lane. 60mph in left, 70mph in middle and 80 mph in overtaking. Minimum is 10 below limit
on that point what is the buffer above the limit you are allowed to hit before they book you. Iv heard different theories like 10% (70mph = the pull you over at 77) above or 10% - 2mph (70mph they pull you over at 75)
I don't know if you folk from outwith the occupied territories are aware but all new drivers here are restricted to 45mph...... which restricts everyone behind them to 45mph also. Meaning that every opportunity to pass is taken with great gusto......and sometimes even if it is not safe......causing loads of deaths. no speed kills.
I have a friend who got caught doing 90 while on his Rs. That didn't go down well as he got a big fine and his Rs extended
