we've been demoted to the Championship on here now ! It's all getting real. Wonder how often the other boards are used .
This pretty much happened instantly !!! unlike when we got promoted when it took ages for our 'status' to be recognised whatever the activity on other boards, lets hope those that frequent this board maintain their enthusiasm
You often find that during the summer break many forums go quiet. When I have tried to put together a match thread I have looked around for information and find that some clubs do not have an active fan base at all that like to share their thoughts. It is quite a pain when you find out that a site which claims to have an up to date forum only has a single person trying to keep it going. Other clubs have five or six forums with a very small membership at each, and their latest information can be several months behind the news. Just when I think I know where to look we go and get relegated, so back to search mode again.
The last entry by a Luton fan was 4 years ago - there were two of them at one time but I think they had an argument ! It has been subsequently briefly colonized by Pompey fans and by QPR ones.
I suppose part of the trouble is unlike the Premier league teams a lot of fans from Championship clubs don't get to see game live on the Internet or on TV so feel they cannot comment as much. I have been on cub forums generally and they certainly aren't as busy as PL ones unless it's a big side like Leeds were.
About half the 606 forums in the Championship are dead ones Mark. There are, however, forums on there which are busier than our own - QPR, Norwich, Bristol City, Cardiff and Swansea for example, and about 3 with roughly the same number of users - Stoke City, Millwall and Wycombe. So some banter is still possible - I also tend to think that they are real fans, in contrast to some of the plastic ones you often find in the Premiership. Actually we had more posters on here when we were a Championship club.
