Are all the Tests at Old Trafford?

And will they be allowing anyone in. I might pop down with a Greggs and bask in the sunshine, as I have some free time atm.

The Irish lads pulled off a great run chase last night, pity they still lost the series. :(

Tell us a bit about this Pakistan team Spurly. Especially the bowling attack bro. I can't see Mohammed Amir's name in the line up. And is Shaheen Afridi related to Shahid? I'm feeling so out of it not knowing any names in many of the overseas teams nowadays.

im not heavy with the info tbh

I lost my fire for the sport when the corruption kicked in and tbh I only really follow Pakistan’s tours to England plus the tournaments.

To my Knowledge he’s not related but you know how it goes with Asians...I won’t be surprised if he is related

Always rated them for their bowling. I'll probably be tuning in to see what this new crop are like. Hopefully some decent swing bowling, a leg spinner and someone who's crafted the doosra on the backstreets of peshawar.

I'm the same in that I've lost track of a lot of the international cricket sides but I was never like that.

back in the day I’d follow it all too...There were more characters back then...in every team...it was great...I try with the new ones but I just can’t adhere to them like I could with their predecessors

Yeh very much this. Too many dull characters nowadays and they don't seem to hang around long.

I think the game's become a bit dry as well all the changes. Not so much Test cricket, I still love the Tests but the one-dayers. Also saw earlier they're trialing VAR type tech on no balls. They'll do away with on-field umpires soon enough.

Pakistan will be happy with the way they steadied the ship after a shaky start I suppose. England dropping catches, bad light, wobbly first day for England. Couple of quick wickets needed early tomorrow.

Michael Vaughan looking like he’s going to do a turn as a bingo caller on Blackpool pier in that sports jacket and pocket hanky combo.

I was just about to get on the blower to Stan and let him know you wanted to chat cricket. That would have been a wasted call <laugh>

I didn't spot this yesterday, quality cricket talk with the @Spurlock !

I said to my dad yesterday that the media have no clue about Pakistan, this is a solid batting line up who will be making 300+ in English conditions. They rely heavily on the Babar and their captain (who obviously then promptly got a duck) but unlike previous Pakistani sides don't always just crumble once you get them 5-6 wickets down.

Their bowlers are going to be interesting. There's a lot about their game which is going to rely on confidence, if they get off to a good start then it could be a very tough series for England, the key will be trying to grind out 30 overs at the start of the innings, they'll probably go flat if there's not been inroads by then. Abbas is excellent, if he has a good series I suspect we're in trouble.

I'd go for 1-1 for the series and all the media to talk incessantly about how England are really talented and should have done better whilst ignoring that Pakistan may actually have a better batting line up and solid, hungry bowlers.

Bookmakers had Pakistan 13-3 to win this match (England were 7-4 on) before a ball was bowled and I was soooo tempted but don't gamble. They don't have a clue.

Prediction: After a game in which Abbas takes 8+ wickets there is the headline "Amo Amas Abbas"
