Me too, Red, guess the Cobblers stamped on the Bees and that was that! Poor old Brentford, talk about hitting a brick wall in the last half-furlong? They had automatic promotion more-or-less 'guaranteed', and completely botched that up too? :(

The footballing market dictates that if you are going to spend big on a player you want to know that you turn a profit on him regardless of how much you have spent on him. But that's a huge amount of money to spend on a player who's has the potential but at that price will need to prove he's good straight away...

    We will see...

Sounds a bit like pin hooking foals. Buy them as babies and hopefully make a killing at the yearling sales.

    Sancho has been the gift that keeps on giving;
Watford - Man City £66,000.00 stolen from a small clubs academy a la Raheem Sterling
    Man City - Dortmund £8M
    Dortmund - Man Utd £108M ???

Sancho is world class. Money well spent.

Anybody watching the cricket? Unbelievably the bookies still have England favourites to win this match

Well, they got that one right...!! What a top game of cricket it was too, it had everything, just what Test Cricket is all about. These Pakistani lads really do show their full range emotions from chirping away at the opposition when they were on top but going painfully quiet when England started to edge ever closer. They are a great side to watch with some seriously talented cricketers in their side, i nearly felt for them at one stage. So don't be surprised if we get more of the same in the next Test, it will make for some good viewing...

Pakistan will still be kicking themselves now. They had a few chances to really kick on and put the game to bed but they never seemed to do it. Naseem Shah is an unbelievable talent, it won’t be to long before he’s known as one of the best bowlers in the world. He’s still only 17, too! You can see he’s still raw but all he’s lacking is discipline with his bowling but once he gets on top of that they’ll be no stopping him.

Stokes is going to miss the rest of the series but he’s looked troubled since the 3rd test against the West Indies and it’s reflected in his stats. That will lift the Pakistan team more than it will hinder us. Azam will make a huge score before the series is out, I’ll probably back him to be top scorer in every innings for them. This guy could be one of the current great batsmen like Smith and Kholi.

Jadon Sancho to stay at Borussia Dortmund. Sporting Director Michael Zorc says 'decision is final'. Sancho took-off with the club squad to its training camp in Switzerland today.

On the demise of Ferrari's fortunes in F1, (where they appear to consistently shooting themselves in the foot) an online blogger has struck gold with his description of the car. He's referred to the Ferrari as an asthmatic, under powered, pig of a car. <laugh>

Selby 3/1 for the Snooker WC title. Good bet I think.

Bayern absolutely thrashing Barcelona atm. 4-1 and still in the first half! Terrific noise nearby from crowd who must be watching SKY TV at a nearby Biergarten.
    FT: 8-2! <yikes>

The snooker today has been sublime.
16 all in the 1st semi with Wilson and McGill who went on the play out probably the best frame of snooker you will ever see.
Now Ronnie and Selby at 16 all and about to play out a decider. Ronnie came out tonight and is just smashing them all over like it a game in the pub with your mates.

Way to go, Ronnie! Sensational performance. <applause>

(Hope my old dad was watching those games from above, he loved Snooker and was probably one of the best amateur players in the Kingston-on-Thames area in his time.)

It looks like Sullivan's game is all over the place at the moment. Maybe Wilson is a better chance in the final than most think. I wonder what they're betting?

    O'Sullivan 2/7 Wilson 5/2
Ronnie was cueing a lot straighter in the last session with Selby, he is operating at about 85% imo.. I do not see Wilson having the bottle to beat Ronnie if it is close in the last session.
