Don't think that is true, full backs tend to be cheaper, there are plenty of similar level RBs we could get for £12m - where would Spurs get someone like Hojbjerg for £15m? Plus there are multiple clubs in for hojbjerg whereas no one else in for KWP.
We have a player who wants to go and his contract is up next year. They have a player we are interested in and seems to want to play for us. If the numbers being talked about (15m + for Pierre and 10-12m for KWP), then that’s ok for me. Do it. Next.
I do agree that the valuation of hojberg is low. But like people are saying he’s a squad player for them and KWP is a first team player for us. I was expecting 10m our way and KWP but we know levy is a dick. There was reported interest but how serious was it?
I think 10M is a fantastic deal for KWP, He already knows how we play, he effectively needs np bedding in period, and there is no guarantee that anyone would as good as him of they came in. I would say we are a far different and better side when he plays, so yes.. I agree with who ever said we need him more than spurs need PeH.
Looks like the reports of £15m for Hojbjerg being accepted are wide of the mark. Good news imo, lets hold out for at least £20m
If anything this has backfired against them though. All it has achieved is made Spurs fans fully expect him to sign and they'll be pressure if he doesn't. It won't change a thing as far as Saints are concerned other than potentially piss us off a little and make us more stubborn
Hmmm not sure, there's absolutely zero chance of us keeping PEH, they know we need to cash in on him. We dont have the money to be able to let him go for free. Our other option is to push selling him to everton or someone else and say to PEH to accept it or call his bluff to stay, which he won't want.
Nah. No point cutting off your nose in this game. PEH will probably leave for spurs, fail to settle and go somewhere like West Brom or Villa in 2 seasons. Can you remember how upset we were when Morgan left? And how underwhelmed we were when Bertie signed.
Said last week that this will drag on to the final wee and then he'll go for £12m or so. They hold all the cards and it's in their interests to drag it out and save a few quid.
One of my friends has a grandmother and her first name is Fanny. She was apparently glad when she got married as her maiden name was Breeze.
Somehow managed to find out who lived in my house back in the late 19th century. One of the 9 inhabitants (small Victorian terrace) was a Fanny Moon. Apparently she was a street hawker!
Usually referred to as Sweet Fanny Adams. The story was told in a play called Murder in the Red Barn.
