@Hung,Drawn and Quartered It's making some noise now **** all will come of the petition, but th pressure is being applied for clarity https://amp.theguardian.com/footbal...ng-takeover-answers?__twitter_impression=true
Why would the Saudis change the composition just to please an insignificant sporting brand. They could buy the PL and all of its clubs twenty times over.
Honestly, going with the takeover being dead, I seriously think that Ashley should relinquish direct control over Newcastle and merge it with the Fraser Group. They're a large organisation with far larger resources and at the very least have shareholders invested in seeing it be successful. They could hire a director of football and invest in training facilities, as theyve invested in every single Fraser Group business. It just makes sense to me.
I think it's more than Likely dead with a stalemate being reached. The pressure is there now for the decision to me made, but I don't see them being bothered about a few thousand unread emails, newspapers articles or petitions. I don't think we should rule it out, but it's looking incredibly unlikely.
Just reading a reply from an mp.. Pretty much said **** off newcastle fans we are standing up against human rights on Saudi. No mention of the billions they take selling weapons to Saudi. The hypocrisy is unfathomable', but I've ve come to the conclusion the government don't want it to happen... Its ****ed... Nobody wants it to go through but our fans so it never stood a chance
Looking forward to you "flipping" tomorrow. Man I love this thread, where else could you get equal amounts of positivity and negativity all in the same place? I still think we haven't heard the end of this and it still has legs. 9 weeks of the transfer window left though, Mbappe must be getting worried now I reckon.
Because the UK has a wold class, world leading defense industry that supports 10's thousands of jobs direct and indirect. What would the TO of Newcastle and a few million invested do? Plus, this is a PL issue, not a government issue. So write to the PL.
The conversation is based on the MPs sighting human rights a a moral issue.. I'm calling them out because their government takes billions from Saudi. On your secondary argument.. I have..
MP's using human rights arguments are laughable. Local Authorities in this country get away with some appalling human rights abuses. You just have to look into some of things children's services departments get up to. MP's should focus on that.
