he looked the business for dortmund. The only thing is how oles going to slot everyone in and keep them happy. No doubt he's probably going to do the worse thing and dump greenwood back to the reserves
Yep, they won't **** up again like they did this season. You don't outscore the bestest most exciting attacking team in the world by 17 goals if most of the team isn't right. They ****ed themselves by not replacing Kompany and expecting La port to stay fit all season. By far the most entertaining team in the league to watch and with another decent CB and possibly LB they will be sorted.
The only thing that bothers me about this is his numbers, direct involvement in 34 goals in 32 league games (17 goals, 17 assists). The last player we bought from Dortmund had very similar stats, Mhkitaryan, and we all know how he performed in the PL (for us and Arsenal).
I was about to mention Mhkitaryan. Absolute baller for Dortmund, absolute dog **** in the Prem. Sancho might be different though, as he at least knows the league from his youth days. And the lad is English, so you'd think he'd slot in a bit better. £90m is a **** load of beanz though, he's going to need to replicate those stats for Utd otherwise it's a massive wad pissed up the wall.
Greenwood needs a season in a rotation, especially if we are playing CL football. Fergie used to rotate a lot and I think that’s what we need to get back to. Only Liverpool keep their first 11 for every game, cos their squad players are utter dogshit.
He's had an ongoing beef with Arsenal. So it was nice of him to come to the Emirates and watch us relegate his team.
Said that to my lad earlier, Fergie always had four top class strikers but managed to keep them all happy with plenty of playing time. The players we will have now can all play a variety of positions and will mix/move fluidly regardless of who are picked, hopefully causing confusion to the opposing defence
They've done it two seasons on the trot now to be fair to them, great commitment and stamina. Lucky ****ers with injuries though.
Fergie had an unreal squad to choose from and could basically put out a second XI almost as strong as the first. credit to him too, because he brought loads of those players in as unknowns and through the youth ranks and turned them into top class players. Don't think Ole has nearly the same luxury as that, although in attack you have got some quality talent in Martial, Greenwood & Rashford,
I’d be surprised if they’re all still there. We know how FSG like to cash in while the assets are hot. I’m already hearing the fizz start to foam over Sancho to United, among the ranks of this board... you lot are dead now, Kane will be looking at that front 6 we have thinking he’d **** himself silly if he got chance to mix it with them, but don’t worry, his legs are almost gone so we’ll be steering well clear.
Probably the two games you should play him in. The rest of the time you might as well just stick a tree stump up top.
Spurs should have sold Kane last summer when his stock had peaked. Now teams will be looking at that mouth breathing simpleton and thinking there's no way they want to splash £80m on crock.
Who are they going to throw it at? Seriously, name these players out there? They can't even replace Kompany. Personally don't see a lot of quality big signings out there like before.
Wasn't comparing the squads mate, just pointing out that it's possible to keep several players of a similar standard happy whilst rotating. Ole was a major part of that kind of rotation so will know how the players feel and (hopefully) keep them happy/calm about it.
