He did well for long time... The managers at **** clubs get stuck.. The big clubs don't wanna give them a job so they have to stay until eventually their luck runs out.... Managers get too much credit and too much blame imo... There jobs pretty straight forward... Money and the owners are what it comes down to in the main and of course the players...
A lot of sense there. Lady luck ran out on him in the end, some poor transfers, Fraser effectively going on strike, Wilson out of form, and arguably the star man Brooks out for virtually the full season. He's obviously been good for Bournemouth, but, its a fine line between relative success and failure. We'll never really know if he's a good manager or not until he manages a so called bigger club. He reminds me of Moyes, good in his comfort zone at Everton and then found wanting, that said, he had an impossible task following Ferguson.
Moyes is a capable manager its his choice of jobs. He was never going to replace Fergie, Sociodad was a terrible idea and Sunderland were destined for relegation. They'd barely survived for years. Imo West Ham wrongly sacked him first time, came back and he did a job again. Now they're keeping him. He's doing something right.
That's probably a fair assessment on Moyes. He certainly hasn't hidden away, and taken on easier jobs, and as you say, he's doing something right at West Ham. You can see them competing for top half next season.
Quite a few rumours of Rafa to Bournemouth. News is he was essentially offered the return to us until the Saudi deal collapsed and is keen to return to England.
