Darts thrown at the Stewards Cup .... Open Wide, Atlanta's Boy, Terentum Star - 7 places with Hills Edit:
Seemed to behave OK today. Came from a long way back to finish 4th and could be one to note next time
Hard lines, just run out of it there. Don't know how many times I have done Summerghand and I am sure I have tipped him here before but he's been a victim of his own consistency and was 7 lbs higher today than when going down by a nose in the Wokingham. Maybe the first time Cheek-pieces have worked the trick but he'll be up to a really high mark now. That's another really highly rated winner on 108 and it's trending towards needing a really good horse to have a chance. My two both fluffed the start, Nahaarr dwelt but he came out like Ballyregan Bob compared to Atalanta's Boy, who exited the stalls like a sloth with a bag of wet cement on his back. He had zero chance thereafter. The best policy today seems to have been to back all the ****ty priced favourites. I dare say a few accas will have been landed on those today.
Gutted that Buick didn't win that last race for the 5 timer, thought he had that in the bag. If he had gone over to the rail the winner wouldn't have won and Buick would've.
What were they all snorting before racing at Goodwood in the ITV tent? Matt Chapman reckoned that Mohaather was the best horse that we saw at Goodwood when coming into the meeting Stradivarius was clearly the top-rated horse on show followed by Battaash. Credit to the horse for winning the Sussex but he beat a 118-rated rival and two Classic winners who are clearly not world-beaters. Then before the Lillie Langtry, Mick Fitzgerald referred to Enbihaar with the personal pronoun “he”. If he had bothered to look at the racecard, he might have noticed that it was a race for fillies and mares.
