I agree . The man js a fantastic driver , but he is poison outside of the car . I will find it interesting to see how his time at Renault actually turns out .
I'm sure I'm in the minority, but much as I love that helmet design , I miss the days when a drivers helmet WAS HIM ( OR HER ) .
The change from 7 days to 10 came in on Thursday 30th. So in theory if Perez tested +ve on Wednesday 29th he only has to isolate for 7 days!!!! Then there is the twist that to get back to racing he needs a -ve test irrespective of quarantine! So he might be out for quite a while!!!
According to the gov docs published on 31st July there doesn't seem to be any back dating. Interestingly this is the statement that might affect Perez 'If you are not experiencing symptoms but have tested positive for COVID-19 you also must self-isolate for at least 10 days, starting from the day the test was taken. If you develop symptoms during this isolation period, you must restart your 10-day isolation from the day you develop symptoms.' So if he develops symptoms his 10 days resets back to day 1 !!!! I can see him missing more than 2 races!!!!
Must admit that imho , if someone tests positive on date a and has to self isolate for 7 days , then the rules change , surely the end date gets pushed out ? No matter , it’s so grey who really knows
If he's got it they can't risk bringing him back to soon and infecting the team, causing them to sit out 2 weekends.
