Krul played pretty well for Norwich but they still went down, keeper isn't the entire reason. Good season, but at 31 and turning 32 in January, we can't demand big bucks for him.
He was player of the season for a reason... More saves than any other keep my a huge margin.. That tells you everything even if you didn't see the games
I still don't get why they just threw the 17 million away... Surely you'd just let them fail it and get that back.. So they just changed their minds entirely in the end.. Lose 17 million or end up with something we don't want anymore? I dont know something not right.
As my old Dad says... "As long as I have a hole in my arse, nowt good will ever happen to this ****ing club" **** Fun888, that should be on the front of every strip next season.
Anyway I believe the number sought was 25k but it shot up to 20k so they changed it to 100k which would mean something significant in terms of the response..
So, have the Saudis knowingly offered the PL a bribe? Whilst I'm all in favour of bribery and corruption, perhaps there is a flaw on this occasion.
No they offered a solution to the piracy issue but it was declined. The premier league did not want this takeover to go trough..
It really is that simple. They couldn't refuse it, legally, but could obfuscate enough to make it non-viable. The fact they won't comment says it all, because they haven't a leg to stand on. It's clearly brinkmanship. The key issue is they haven't advised the PL the deal is off. It's still on. They're just calling out the corruption to force the PL to say "oh no we're not" and give a green light. The comments from Simon Jordan (and others) aren't valid - it's only a legal matter if the PL block it. They won't. Staveley knows they won't. But they won't pass it, either. So she's trying this tactic in the hope they'll allow it. Which they should. The negative press in light of all the other Qatari/FIFA corruption is going to be very bad for business.
