Good Morning. It's Friday 31st July, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Former dup linked to ER return

A transfer season wouldn't be a transfer season without rumours of a past players being reunited with Leeds, but according to the Daily Star, Leeds are preparing a double swoop for former players.

Fabian Delph and Danny Rose both boast the kind of Premiership experience that the Whites would desperately need, but at the age of 30 (both of them), are their best days behind them?

A combined fee of 10m would get the deal done.

Surely, we'd prefer to see Lewis Cook return. The former academy prodigy is still only 23yo. The York born midfielder has been prone to injury, hence only accumulating 68 appearances in four years.

Would any of the three add anything to our squad, or should we be looking for fresh new talent?

Hay - Leeds targeting 4 or 5 new players

Phil Hay has revealed that Leeds will be looking to secure four or five new signings during the Summer.

He has claimed that Leeds need a goalscoring forward, along with a centre-back, a left-sided defender and a goalkeeper if Casilla leaves.

Leeds have one eye of Brenfords Ollie Watkins. The 24yo has netted 26 times this term and has 3 assists to his name. Unfortunately for the Whites, Brentford are in the play off final next Tuesday against Fulham. If the Bees are promoted, they won't want to lose their prized assets. Watkins describes himself as a number 10, trying to base his game on his childhood idol Thierry Henry!

Which 4/5 players first team players that would normally start will have to make way for these new signings.

    In other News.......

Ryan Edmondson is being linked to a loan move to Scottish outfit Aberdeen. Is time running out for Edmondson to impress................

German media outlet Kicker reported this week that Leeds are keen on Stuttgart striker Nicolas Gonzalez.Gonzalez. The Star are now reporting that Bielsa is heading an £18m bid to bring the Argentinian to Elland Road.......................

Speculation is rife that Leeds are trying to sign Benfica's defensive midfielder Florentino Luis on loan to Elland Road with a view to a £25 million permanent deal. Where does this leave Forshaw and Phillips..................

Daniel Chapman from the Square Ball and YEP has an interesting analogy regarding Ben White! The 22yo has joined Kalvin Phillips and Tyler Roberts on a lads holiday to Spain. The closeness White has for the entire Leeds squad will surely make it more difficult fore him to leave..............

Rose has so much baggage and attitude, think he's out of contract, but has been refusing to leave spurs so he can get a big signing on fee, said he wants out of football so just in it for the money.
Cook not been playing for a relegated team, so looks like he's gone backwards since he left us. Both no thanks from me, not sure about Delph either. <laugh>

    Morning guys.

Everyone seems to around £20 million.

We could probably get Swift from Reading for around £5 million.

I just think there are some real gems out there for a fraction of the price of some of these linked players.

Yes, that's my point. Every news story is talking about huge signings. I'd be quite happy picking some talent from the Championship. Bielsa will work wonders with players.

good morning to matt and co from a warm and sunny Bardsey
Sorry we don't want players coming back for their last pay day I agree about Swift fee is much more realistic
Wish Edmundson all the very best in Aberdeen
Ollie Watkins would be a good aquisition

    Good morning,

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I was never that in awe of Cook. He was decent and I wish we'd have kept him but 23 year old English players are expensive and I think we could get better for the money he'd cost. Delph and Rose's experience might be valuable but I'd be worried about their wages. I don't think we'll get any of the three anyway.

I'm torn with Watkins, we need a goal scorer but he's a diving **** and pretty much everything I hate about modern football.

Edmondson and the others need to be playing regular first team football now. Only the best of the best from the youth team will make it in the Prem.

Morning all... I read a report from Phil Hay who believes we are waiting to make a move for Ollie Watkins so we need Fulham to win on Tuesday.

It would make sense if we raided the Championship as Bielsa has had two seasons looking at what the best in the Championship have to offer

Before Bielsa took over, Alioski would fall over a blade of grass and half the team would wave imaginary cards at the ref, he soon stamped it all out ;)

    Morning all.

If 10 million could get both Delph and Rose then as long as the wage demands were not silly I think that would be good business.

Decent players with bags of Premier league experience mixed in with the best signings from the championship ie Watkins, Benrhama or Eze and we will have the look of a decent Premier league squad.

Think we're getting linked with £20-25mplayers because of Radz saying , were going to break our record transfer.
Delph and Cook, injured far too often, Rose kicked us in the bollox once, why even consider him. No room for sentiment. Need to look elsewhere.

If you do what Leeds were saying they were going to do and look at top end Championship players. Eze, Watkins, Benrahama, Mitrovic, or relegated players you have 5 from Bournemouth a couple from Norwich or even Morelos who Rangers are letting go.

Delph and Rose I will ignore for now but on paper could be a winning move as you get a very good International left back who is as fast as anyone in the league. Plus an experienced mentor for Phillips and have heard Phillips speak about how he looked up to Delph. £10m s chickenfeed.

but as we lose between 2 or 3 of the above players depending on who gets promotion the bucket isnt that full as I dont see many CBs over here except Foyth without going abroad. Same for all the other positions if deals cannot be done.

If any of the multitude of overseas players we have been linked with are true, then the 3 getting most media coverage abroad is striker Nicolas Gonzalez, CB Louis Martinez-Quarta and DM Florentino

Could Delph have been the reason Bielsa was at the Everton game last week? And now I think about it managed by Pep and a central midfielder and left back

Good luck to Ryan Edmondson who is on his way to Aberdeen until January. He has earned a contract extension too <applause>

Not a lot going on today, I’m really just waiting on news of Bielsa agreeing a new contract
Only views I would pass on prospective signings is Delph Rose Cooke forget all three, don’t believe in drinking twice from the same fountain any new signings will come out of the blue with the possible exception of Ben White
If he is cleaver he will do all in his power to come to Leeds where he could turn into one of the truly great Leeds layers
    That’s what I think anyway

So Phil Hay cant be clearer the striker we are going after will be Ollie Watkins if Brentford fail to go up. No idea on back up plan

on the CBs White is the first choice, followed by Juan Foyth with the 3rd choice being a Brighton player who hasn't played yet 18yo Hayden Roberts

we also know we have spoken to Norwich about Buendia
