When Romano says something, it's generally true.

How does everyone feel about this?

Would you sell to Inter if they offered what we paid for him?

If they didn't have all the cash, would you accept a deal involving players? A recent rumour said they'd be willing to offer Skriniar as part of a deal, I personally think that's bollocks but he's a very, very good CB who'd instantly be our best at the club should he join. Brozovic has been another player we've been linked with in the past. Or - and this purely from me, not a link - would you see if a deal to bring back Eriksen could be done as part of negotiations if the Dane was willing to return?

Or would you simply reject any advance and give him the chance to prove himself?

    depends who they offer?

I don’t know much about the Inter squad apart from the names that left the PL.

we need a quality squad so I would happily see one or 2 players come to us for Ndombele’s fee, if they are good enough to make an impact from the off.

Maybe he will be ready for the new season...6 weeks? Hmmm I’m not sure he will be ready to go from game 1. I suspect deep issues with him...could be wrong not sure I want to give him the year to find out when we could potentially buy 1 or 2 quality ready for game 1 signings

Some players for what ever reason seem suited to one particular league or maybe team and once they stray they bomb.

It really is a tough one. In terms of natural ability he’s phenomenal but physically something isn’t right.

I really want to see it work out for him but equally I don’t want Spurs to be left in the **** with an expensive flop.

If he does stay though Jose has to play him. Not only because the guy needs game time to actually prove his worth as well as build his fitness but going another season with captain crab and Sissoko starting games is gonna be unbearable.

I think my preference is to keep Tanguy but I also wouldn’t blame the club if they did choose to cash in.

I have seen it so many times. Top profile players, Mkhitaryan, brilliant for Dortmund **** for us and worse for Arsenal. Goetz, Brilliant for Dortmund, **** for Bayern and never the same since. Coutinho, brilliant for Liverpool and **** for Barca, stunk the place out at Bayern.

Good players on the face of it gone bad for no obvious reason.

If an acceptable offer comes in, Ndombele is off imo, Mourinho will not tolerate a lack of effort no matter how much ability you have, and it could finance some other new players. It will be a shame, because Ndombele has shown glimpses of immense talent, but (for whatever reason) has also shown glimpses of immense bone idleness. Also, last year, Levy lost his `net spend cup`, and will want it back this time around, Tanguy could finance another break even window for our skinflint owners.

Ake to Citeh for £40m. Good business for Bournemouth but can't see him being much more than a bench warmer there.
    Straight HG replacement for Stones?

One thing I've noticed in the last few days is that "Inter to swap ____________ for Tottenham's ____________" is practically a template at the moment

Last Saturday the Corriere dello Sport reported an Ndombele/Brozovic swap deal, as if there's anything comparable in their length of contracts to make that feasible
On Wednesday it was Calciomercato reporting a Perisic/Lamela swap deal, ignoring the fact we're well stocked at LW at the moment and it has to be said Perisic hardly lit up the Bundesliga last season...while playing for the team that lights it up every ****ing season
Yesterday it was Di Marzio's turn as he reported on Sky Italia an Ndombele/Skriniar swap deal was on the cards, although if we couldn't get Skriniar we'd demand Perisic as part of the deal
And today it's Romano with Ndombele for...actually he doesn't say, he merely hints that a swap deal is in the offering

The fact we've been linked with Brozovic and Perisic every summer without fail since time immemorial, and that's barely a joke as we've been linked with Brozovic every summer since Villas-Boas was in charge, is enough to ask the operators of the bullshit radar if they have any readings for most of these stories - and that's before considering how hard a sell it would be since Inter's position boils down to "Remember your former Spurs teammate? Well we're trying to flog him six months after signing him, but I'm sure you'll do fine..."

    Oh yeah, there's also...

...oh no, we've reached that point of the summer

I swear these things are making even less sense than they used to. Look at the wildly fluctuating lines for pass completion or passes into the final third that honestly don't match the numbers at all

Hes a left sided CB isn’t he, so that means he will be back up for Laporte. Laporte seems injury prone so Ake will get plenty of game time. I still think City need another CB and possibly 2 if they decide to sell Stones or Otamendi

Stones is reportedly a target for West Spam

Of course it's a complete coincidence if he stops being picked for England the second that transfer is completed...

"Inter to swap ____________ for Tottenham's ____________" Watch
...told you it was a template

The Corriere dello Sport report that, if Inter fail to sign N'golo Kante this summer, they'll take a look at either Tanguy Ndombele or Moussa Sissoko - with Milan Skriniar and Marcelo Brozovic both identified in potential makeweights

Right, how do we finagle it so we somehow get Skriniar and Brozovic for Sissoko? Because that's a Levying for the ages

Can we buy Kante, sell Sissoko to Inter and include Brozovic in the deal, please?

I'm sure that, somehow, us selling Sissoko to bring in Brozovic will somehow be seen as lacking amBisHuN in the eyes of the usual suspects...

Really? He's attained a sort of cult following, but I think a lot of it is pretty tongue in cheek.

Given I've genuinely seen things such as claiming that Anton Walkes being sold was the start of an exodus that would see Harry Kane leave by the end of that window, never assume anything is too ridiculous for them

Yeah it’s definitely a cult following, the whole GOAT nickname somewhat confirms it, albeit fair play to the Spurs Admin who’s also donned it in certain captions.

Don’t get me wrong I thought he was very good in 18/19 and he can certainly have his uses in games but realistically he should be on the bench most weeks. If he were sold I wouldn’t lose sleep either, albeit he’d be someone that needed replacing in the squad.
