This simply isn’t true though. The Saudis have walked away voluntarily. Any opinion a PL club might have had and made in a letter to the league is irrelevant to the process. A bit like when Newcastle were one of the clubs who wrote to CAS wanting City’s FFP ban upheld recently.

I an just going off sone of Staveley's comments. If clubs have expressed disapproval and the PL has listened and intentionally delayed. I suspect there will be disclosure of a lot of emails by the buyers side in the coming weeks now that NDA is no longer in force.
I Think the World wanted that ban upheld. They flouted the ffp rules got done and then beeled away until the punishment was dropped. Stevie Wonder saw what was happening there.
What decision? The PL didn’t even make a decision. The only party who’s made a definitive decision in the Saudis and the Reuben bros, in walking away. Their statement about the delay affecting their plans and mentioning training and COVID made no sense btw, as the season has just literally finished and the transfer window opened 4 days ago and is open until October. An odd thing to come out with anyway, if they were supposed to be long term investors.
Not my point though, which was, the was decision process was nothing to do with Newcastle, in the same way the PIF decision was **** all to do with the Kopites. So sticking your 2 penneth in, is all it amounts to.

I think its the manner in which it failed as opposed to it just failing. A bunch on here simply never believed it, I think its worse for everyone knowing it was a real thing about to happen, literally a signature away, and instead its been ripped up and thrown out. It would be far easier if it was all hearsay and simply disappeared. That all being said, 6 months ago most would have been happy to see the back of Ashley no matter what. If Henry comes in with similar funds but determined for success, which I hope is the case its a huge improvement.
