I sympathise Joker! I spent a year in London and hating being away from the North. People are so rude down there!! Alas good to be home (even though my home is not the toon)

I'm living in Portsmouth for the year for work - horrible being away from the toon! Still got my season ticket though - wish they did train miles as well as air miles because I'd be racking them up already!

My mate (a Mackem for his sins) was Plymouth from the age of 16 until about 6 months ago, said he never got used to the place!

I don't know if you can access BBC Newcastle online down there, but listening to the Mackems on Total Sport whining about Steve Bruce is always good therapy.

Having sex is like playing bridge. If you don't have a good partner, you'd better have a good hand.

nice for it to be on the other foot for a change just a tad annoying that if it was us we'd have the press and pundits alike putting the boot in ooh well anyway if i'm ever down there visiting the outlaw we should meet up at the barbican and have a few jars
