If it costs him less than £50m then not so much. I wouldnt want to be owing a bunch of arabs £17m like that's for sure....i know he's lost weight but he'd still amount to a lot of little pieces like i reckon.
Oh aye, it’s been passed and it’s now Ashley’s fault, and the only person who knows about it is some mate of an ex footballer on twitter. It’s not like the Saudis themselves would know they’d been approved or anything. Lads, lads, come on ffs. This is just some bobble head creating his own narrative, based on some duff info he’s had from a mate.
There’s no way that a $380bn company allows a process to elapse contractually where they lose their control or deposit. There’ll be no limit on how long they have to conclude a deal, the exclusivity period would only be for them to do due diligence and submit their offer.
Ashley cannot sell to anyone else unless the PL has rejected the consortium. Small matter of a sales purchase agreement. Breach of contract will be expensive, not to mention you don't stab the Saudis in the back.
The lad didnt say specifically that Ashley is looking to plug the plug on the deal, but rather that the thing now holding up the deal is Ashley and not the PL. That could be something as simple as he has not announced the sale yet if it his responsible for doing so. Or maybe something to do with the transfer of funds.
I can’t see it mate. If the PL approved the deal. The Saudis would announce it as time is of the essence. MA would also want it pushed through ASAP as he is probably sick of it to. It’s actually quite bizarre and oddly funny how for the first time he is in the same boat as us fans. Lol
