Can't see if it was mentioned on here but Onomah's goal for Fulham against Cardiff was superb.

If Messi does that etc. etc.

Hope Brentford go up. Though at the same time I don't as they're getting rid of the stadium that has a pub in each corner...

Actually live quite near Brentford. When we in the Premier League, thought of them as a modest little local club. Seen them wipe the floor with us 5-1 twice in the last 2 years and the football they play is on a different planet from what we've produced in the last 6 months. How times change.

I think back to atmosphere at the Watford semi in 2008. How weird it's played in an empty stadium.

Bet Swansea wish they had Brewster full time, think some PL clubs will be after him next season.

They have a manager that knows his arse from his elbow. They have players with ability. They have an owner that isn’t a ****. They also have an excellent recruitment team.

They also have the pick of London and all the young 'uns that Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and WHU discard.

BFC last in top flight in 46/7.

Been at Griffin Park 116 years.

Imagine being a fan and they played their last game there and won through to the PL via Wembley and you couldn't be there to see it?

A small point, but they seem to have hardly any players from any of the clubs you mention above.

The big Premier League clubs in London are the aspirations for any young talented footballers in that massive catchment area. By signing for a club like Brentford a youngster has a chance of getting spotted/noticed. I'd guess that every London based/born academy player on Brentford's books has had some link, interest or are known to the scouts of the capitals Premier League clubs.
It is a fertile breeding ground for young footballers .Almost the opposite to the situation here in Hull.

Barely any at all. The fertile breeding ground for some of their English players includes Rotherham, Torquay and Walsall. The rest seem to come from Scandinavian/Spanish clubs.

Brentford don’t in any way fit your description as a destination club for those not good enough for one of the big London PL teams. Brentford have a model of their own. Every player at the club has a sale price, every potential player they sell they will already have identified 2 or 3 potential replacements.

Brentford's two big goal scoring players came from Exeter and Nice...

Brentford have more success then us for attracting young players because of where they are.
They probably do it better then us too.

Just the latter. Which now applies to most clubs in the English professional game.
