The Saudis claimed victory when the report came out, and took steps to remove the piracy issue. What I don’t understand is why they then banned BeIN again, effectively making piracy the only way of watching PL in SA again. I know the official line btw, I just don’t believe they’re that disjointed, makes no sense at all, unless it was some crass attempt at blackmail or a foot stomping display of petulance. Either way it wasn’t a good look.

 

I don't understand their banning of BEin. The claim is breach of Saudi competition law, but it does seem all too convenient.

Rumour on twitter tonight is that the PL have now passed it but there is a new hold up because of Ashley. Imagine if he is now trying to sell to Mauriss if exclusivity has ended.....

Can’t see it being true. Contracts have been said to have been exchanged. £17M deposit paid. Struggle to believe there was an ongoing exclusivity period after contracts exchanged. Not saying there wasn’t as only seeing the actual contract would give the gospel answer.

Course Mikey could always breach the contract but that could be very expensive for him.

 

Wonder how his call with SB went! Kinda makes you now wonder who's job it is to announce it if the PL have passed it.
