This would have made some supergroup! From 1967 Peter Green with Jack Bruce, Aynsley Dunbar and Rod Stewart...
There's not a great deal of live footage of Mac at their peak but this is a flavour of their quality...
Amazing stat on the radio just there - in 1969, Fleetwood Mac sold more records than The Beatles and The Rolling Stones combined - wow!
They were never off the radio at that time, I posted a festival poster from that era recently and they topped the bill that included Led Zeppelin and a who's who of rock & blues bands of the 60s. I'm so lucky to have that as the formative years of my musical taste. Such a shame that drugs destroyed the band at their peak, a familiar story in the rock world...
RIP Denise, beautiful voice. Screamadelica is one of my favourite albums, whenever I listen to it, it takes me back to a specific period of my life that was full of energy, love and madness. Also a defining album with where my music tastes diverged all over the place, never afraid to experiment and listen to something completely different. This is her cover of New Orders True Faith - trust me, her vocals are fabulous
Raging The only gig I had left in this years calendar has now been cancelled - not even postponed, just cancelled FFS! Another crazy video.... Really hope they reschedule for next year, supposed to be amazing live
Sorry to hear that Steels, but sadly not really surprised tbh! I don't fancy the chances of many gigs going ahead for another year at the very least the way things are right now Hope I'm wrong. Hope everyone is well
I had tickets to see all three of these bands in 2020. Here's to 2021 when hopefully they will be back playing live
All good bro That's two festivals and about 8-10 gigs either postponed or cancelled, plus all the ones that I would have booked for the back end of the year that never even got off the drawing board. Gutted - think the next confirmed gig is in Feb (although I do have four to go to that month - at the moment!) First up....Fresh from their Mercury nomination I love her voice, such passion
