Whilst I totally agree, you would that thought someone with some sort of editorial control over the output on their website would look at articles like this and think why are we publishing this garbage!

It's the thin end of the wedge, there is so little real journalism and/or factual news reported by any media outlet, be that TV, radio or print media, just a lots of speculation from washed out old pros who all have an axe to grind or a media profile to maintain.

You'd have to be a pretty desperate Arsenal fan to read it...

or stuck with your foot up in the air due to Sesamoiditis.

I don't know, he's also good at the staff Christmas party, at least when you get a few drinks in him...

Dan Kilpatrick's written up a summer wishlist, which may or may not be accurate

    Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
    Kim Min-jae
    Timothy Castagne
    Callum Wilson
    David Brooks

I like the look of that except for the fact I have never heard of or seen Kim Min-jea, Timothy Casange and think Callum Wilson is 2yrs too late , Holjbjerg is another not on my radar until the media started linking us with him and I liked the look of Brooks when he played for Sheff utd but has not torn up many trees since his move
So basically not I've not a ****ing clue <sorry>

What's crazy is also his thought process as an ex Ars is how to weaken Spurs and not how to strengthen Ars.

Hojbjerg improved dramatically under Hasenhuttl, but I'm still not convinced that he's the answer.
Chelsea appear to want to offload Kante for £50m. We should rip their bloody arm off.

Wilson and Brooks seem like sensible business, if we can agree reasonable fees for them.
£10m for Wilson would be very decent.

Weston McKennie is supposedly available for £20m, and with Southampton dragging their feet he certainly looks like a viable alternative (certainly more so than Baptiste Santamaria of Angers, who is looking like a Stambouli-type signing)

In terms of players we're looking at and the shape of our squad, it has to be said that for a lot of the Ubermensch's second stint at Chelsea the team could be described as Hazard doing something amazing, Costa banging away chances he had no chance to be burying, and a lot of solid behind them - in other words, the embodiment of the Nereo Rocco quote of a winning team consisting of a goalkeeper who saves everything, an assassin in defence, a genius in midfield, a goalscoring forward and seven donkeys who run all the time

We certainly have the goalscoring forward, and definitely have a few of the donkeys who run all the time (Winks, Sissoko and Davies most obviously), the issue is we don't have a genius in midfield due to there being no protection there, which in turn means we lack the assassin in defence and the goalkeeper who saves everything as they have more work to do than they should

Underwhelming but if Jose wants them then fair enough, I just hope it’s not a case of him being given players he doesn’t want though.

To be fair we all know Jose isn't a yes man, so whoever we sign will be someone he wants I'd imagine. He knows we won't be bringing in multiple £60m signings so he'll have no doubt scaled down his list of players to fit the budget available but I think who he wants is who he'll get, within reason of course.

Hojbjerg sounds like his first choice by all accounts and it looks like we'll get him barring any Grealish-esque **** up. So far he's the only player that we know who Jose (seemingly) definitely wants. The rest remains to be seen but I'd highly doubt we'll be signing players that he hasn't given the green light too.

Wouldn’t mind a bid for Deeney.

Think he has all the attributes Jose loves in a striker.

plus he’s at the age where he will be expecting games but not always I guess so that could work because we will have plenty games to play with Europa in mind

Was thinking about Watford’s players actually. Deeny sprung to mind, as did Capoue who has been largely very good for them IIRC. Both are long shots though IMO, for different reasons.

Doucoure is a good player, but likely to be priced out of our range

Good call - could be a great fit alongside a new DM as the more progressive deep player. 27 so this is probably his big move, we’d have to see.

There’s talk that Scotty Parker will try and get Skipp on loan next season.

Skipp would love that, worked under him in the youths for the year Parker was here coaching and has cited him as one of his influences on more than one occasion.

We never really confirm academy signings, for example the only proof we signed Isak Solberg last summer was a piece in some local Danish paper - until his profile appeared on our site, of course

I hope he gets them up and that this happens could be an excellent place for Skippy to spend a season.
