I don't have a cam but I'm in the market for one. The weight issue is negligible compared to the benefits they can bring. If you find a decent one put it up on here, I've had a look on chain reaction but its difficult to know what are the better ones.
Bike's gonna be written off by the shop. They can't do it officially till the start of August because they have so much work backlogged, but the mechanic in there who i've dealt with before and is good told me that's really the only way forward given what the bike's like and what's happened. They'll itemise all the damage and expenses for me and put it in an official legal document. He just said he'd write up a quote for a brand new bike, fully built up. Of course then it's in the lap of the gods really as far as a claim goes, and that process will take a while. So in the meantime I'm sans bike and looking at shelling out on something if I want to ride again this summer
Yeah I will mate, I think some you can get now are very small and discreet. This would all be looking a lot easier if I'd had one yesterday
Not a bike story but fitting considering recent conversations in here... Hit a pigeon with the car tonight; it's broke the front grill the fat bastard!
The police rang me today and said they've investigated the driver for insurance, license issues etc and she's clean. So they're not gonna take it further and say it's a civil matter, as they do with all such incidents, which is disappointing but about what I expected. I emailed a solicitor today and drafted a message to send to the driver who hit me asking if she'll pay up. Have to wait and see now. Not positive really.
Anyway. To try and get back on the road sometime soon I've been looking at maybe getting a bike from Planet X, a UK based bike company who make very good ones at pretty reasonable prices. The other option is to get some cheap Chinese carbon from ebay, i.e. a frameset and components like saddle and bars, then get a nice Shimano groupset and get it built up, put on the new wheels I got and finishing kit. Those would be the most economical options.
Nah. She rang me on Saturday night. I missed her calls. I rang her back and got her voicemail. She rang me back but I was driving. Nothing since. I'm waiting to hear from the solicitor now before I try and contact her again. She probably thinks I've just dropped it
So a grizzly or a black bear is fine, but not a polar bear. There might be some kicking around once the Arctics gone mate
He likes a koala. Get it on a skewer whole, marinaded, on the barby ... beeeeaaaaaaooooooodiful tucka mate!
err sort of as it due to legal challenges based on sex discrimination so in effect you are treated as an old woman
