One strange old cookie that's for sure.

He's either constantly lurking or has some sort of Rafa metre that alerts him whenever someone mentions him. Extremely odd.

I sincerely doubt it’d non refundable in the event of the PL blocking the sale. Merely if, for whatever reason, the consortium couldn’t or wouldn’t complete the sale by coming up with the rest of the cash.

I'm surprised to hear its stalled over a few questions about who gets final say.. Murder no problem, piracy issue won't stop it, but whoever says yes or no seems to be the biggest problem?

It's got to be bullshit.. Although there's clearly problems

Why? It’s a perfectly reasonable question. Who’s going to be calling the shots? A faceless investment fund, who usually merely buy equity, or is it to really be the House of Saud via a stooge?

Surely it's resolvable then unless I course its someone directly linked to the murder of kashoggi or piracy?

This is where it falls apart for you though. As you and your fellow fans have been giving it the billions and billions, the new PSG, Saudi’s plaything shizzle.

Yet the PL are being asked to believe that it’s just a consortium that has an investment fund as the prime shareholder and it’s nothing to do with the actual House of Saud.

Which is it? As if it’s the former then it’s the House of Saud who are the de facto owners, if it’s the latter then it’s merely the investment fund. Spot the problem.

I think the complex looks good architecturally and I’m sure it will have all the mod cons.
    The couple of things I picked up on was;
    • One of the most advanced in Europe is a direct quote from the builder. I can’t find any quote from any footballing authorities / governing bodies who back up that claim. The builder is hardly going to say it’s ****. If you compare it against Liverpool’s new training complex, Liverpool’s seems more advanced?
    • Not sure what value a 9 hole golf club will have. I know the land was an old golf club, so keeping some of it won’t add much additional build cost, but does golf improve football?

They’re going to wang it on that basis, it’s obvious and avoids having to get into the human rights issues, the piracy, the lot, all of which they weren’t happy with. They’re just going to say they weren’t satisfied with the ownership structure presented and it left questions unanswered in terms of who would be the genuine owners. Job done.

I still think it'll pass tbh, they just want it look like they did everything they could as the big clubs won't be happy about it.

The golf club is supposed to be for the players.

I only poke fun because of one supporter that used to post, @FosseFilberto may remember his name.

His dad was "head of security" (chief steward) back in the 70s and used to put him in his own pen at Filbert Street between the home and away supporters to keep him safe.
Spoke a lot about the stadium plans (which his dad was privy to because he was invited into board meetings) and made a big thing of the golf course, changing rooms and some plastic screen that was being put up between he home and away supporters <laugh>

I don’t. The Saudis have taken the piss. They’re not used to not getting what they want when they click their fingers, so have acted like twats by banning beIN again in a fit of petulance, making piracy the only way to watch the PL in Saudi again. The PL have experience of their intransigence when they tried suing the pirate station in Saudi and were blocked at every turn by them.
