Interesting that you mention the draw. I was looking earlier and stalls in terms of strike rate % at Redcar over the minimum is Stall % 2 16% 18 13% 9 13% 1 12% 8 8% Suggests that stall 9 is a pretty good one and either they go well from lowest or high. It'll be interesting to see what happens today.
Welds horse Dalton Highway has been backed from 10s into 4s in the 6.45 ...Jamie Codd riding..could be worth a look
Ah the Galway Festival. The racing maybe not the best standard but the craic is mighty( well maybe not this year). One I've backed is Atlas in 5.45 at 6s to follow up on his recent Ltown win.
Well, Nass, the speed was all with the low numbers this time. Winner won it easily. Think my speculative bet might have finished in the dreaded 4th position, don't know yet. Turned-out that those drawn high had no chance in this one! Thank you for the draw stats.
Indeed, Nass. Squeezed at the start, then Jason Hart slowly took Harswell Prince over to the stands side and was by then in last place. Then, lots of whip waving to finish 7th of the 9 runners? Absolutely no attempt to even get a place? SP was 11/2, so a bit of money for the horse? Hope I've 'read' it right, as I'm afraid race reading is not my cup of tea!
Spot on, bringing it across was odd and then he didn’t ride too vigorously when he knew the other had flown. Interesting to see if it runs well next time out!
GrecianMick, good spot on the draw. Shame no one decided to tell the jockeys about it in the mile handicap! Only stall one ended up on the rail and won nicely in the end.
The first one ran much better today. went off at 16/1 and finished 7th. I'll probably give it another go next time. The second one did its usual trick of blowing the start. This one went the opposite way in the market and went off at 40/1. I definitely think it has a race in it but when that might be is anyone's guess. If it could break on terms it would be very interesting. I'm not sure i'll go in again on this one next time.
Had a small bit on him too!!14/1 last nite. Should have done the forecast too! But will take the winner
Wise decision, hope it works out for him. I expect the Gigginstown operation to start winding down rather more quickly - heard the other day from someone who took a Ryanair flight from East Midlands to Spain with 9 people on it.
Well, I thought Wembley was a bad value favourite and he was beaten at odds of 6/5. Dermot Weld's Blue For You won it at 8/1. I didn't fancy second Fav Lust either and he was very weak in the betting this morning before being supported back to his original odds later. He was only 6th though. I had backed Trusted Ally at 5/1 and he was supported to 10/3 but he simply disappointed in 4th place. I think you would struggle to make a case for him matching his first run on the ratings. I had expected some improvement but as Frank Bruno once said about a fight that didn't pan out as predicted:- "It just wasn't Cricket Harry, but you get that in Boxing"
