The only thing worse than Ashley would be a takeover by someone who thinks buying Messi would be a good idea.

See Moshiri at Everton for more information on how to go backwards while wasting hundreds of millions of pounds.

Sit down

just a matter of time mate.. your not the first club to have get up there , but staying there is a different matter.

enjoy it as you should

... oh I will... but the other thing is that we have a sound business model, and not for the short term ... which was one of the main reasons for Brendan Rodgers coming.

Our scouting system is superb and our youth teams are all flying high, bringing through a pipeline of talent which will be there for years yet ... 3 academy graduates now in the first team.

Others that have got there over the years bought their way there and couldn't sustain that ... what we have developed looks to be sustainable .. hoping so. <cheers>

United have been throwing money at it for a decade now and proving beyond doubt that it guarantees nowt ... I'm fairly confident that we will cause the Big Boys problems for quite a few years to come ...

PS our top salaries are more than a match for Spurs right now ... <cheers>

So never said we'd 'stay ahead' of Man United then? ... thanks for taking the time out to confirm ... for your next task, could you go fetch a blue flower with red thorns <cheers>

Harvey Barnes and Hamza Choudhry... also Luke Thomas has played the last 3 Prem games too ... Emile Heskey's cousin, Darnell Johnson is another who was on the bench against Sheff United ... yet another, Kieran Dewsbury-Hall made his debut in the Cup and then went out on loan .. some excellent kids tbf

I think it's end game now... one way or the other.

not being a dick but I hope ours goes through and yours too if he's backed by someone to get the club back where it should be
I’ll be nice once. I used to get terrified at the thought of you winning anything. Now, as I get older that starts to pass and I genuinely wouldn’t begrudge seeing you win something just for all the lads I know really so they can have their big day out. Admittedly, I’d prefer it to be just once and the league cup <ok>

You have to give it to Leicester. Must be pretty special being the only team in the country with an academy.

<laugh>

I know, it’s almost as if they’re completely oblivious to other clubs having their own yoof.

They’ve basically got Chilwell and Barnes, with the kid with the huge fro on the bench. That’s it.

it's just banter mate.. my uncle's a makem like. I was thinking the other day it's a shame the derby is lost ... one of the biggest rivalries going based on opposing sides during a civil war.... not some pissy football rivalry... hopefully it'll return and north east football will be even somewhere close to winning cups like both clubs did before money changed everything .

And a lad who's played the past few games where they've been nowhere near good enough.

Oh and someone in a cup tie. Unbelievable Jeff.

James Justin has been one of the few bright spots in what has been a depressing run-in ... was superb yesterday despite the emotional cost of losing his father very recently ... looks like he could have a big future.

As for the others I've mentioned ... just have to wait and see ... <cheers>
