Probs too early to be saying he's a decent manager then? Glad we got there in the end mate.

How much did you bid for him ?

We offered £65m plus Riess Nelson on loan. They'd snap our hands off for than now.

Arsenal fans can see what he's trying to do, and the improvements he's made. so the whole 'worst season' thing is bollocks. But yeah it's early days and the board need to back him with some proper dough. Kronke is a tight arsed ****er though, so he'll probs give him £5m to scour Ligue 2 for some 'potential'

I’m not sure that’s true, the same as us reportedly offering £60m plus.

Both clubs enquired, we were talking circa £50m plus add ons according to EFC ITK’s & he handed in a transfer request when that was deemed to be nowhere near in Palace’s view. We then never went back with any formal offer and they were left with a sulking Zaha.

I think our initial £40m bid was confirmed, but after that it's just speculation. Clearly we had the dough though as we brought Pepe in.

Zaha has had a **** season, and likely because he doesn't want to be there. He'd still be worth a punt if the fee was closer to £25-£30m

So Jan vertongen has left spurs after 8 years as a trophyless club "legend"

We should snap him up as 4th choice cb

A large chunk of that was for a player that we loaned straight back, so hopefully we'll reap some rewards from that investment this season.

The Pepe deal was largely done on instalments. Think we only laid out £20m initially

You bought Pepe on the drip mate, so no, not necessarily.

Zaha is a quality player who’s end product isn’t good enough. He’ll be 28 later this year and whoever buys him is taking a player who’s actual stats are a bit meh and who’ll have no resale value.

    Welcome to Goodison Wilf lad.

yeah hence why kronke needs to put his hand in his pocket for some decent defenders.
