He's a fairly emotional guy, Bruce, but I've seen him get absolutely rinsed and stay calm. He looked like he'd just had really bad news. There's no other way of viewing it. Whether it means anything who knows. For me, we've got a couple of days or it's not happening.
The Bruce's face being told he's sacked theory? Could be any number of reasons.. He might have been holding in a wet fart for all we know
I just think he’s relieved the season is over. If he knew he was going then why would he say “so far”. I’m intrigued by the Wednesday call mind. There is no real reason for it other than a season debrief or takeover news or his transfer requests. If we hear nothing by Wednesday then I honestly think it’s off.
His demeanour definitely changed. He went from looking at the camera, talking coherently, to taking big gulps, eyes watering and looking anywhere but the camera. He made excuses about injuries, took digs at previous management and was very dismissive when asked about the takeover. He says Ashley phoned to say thanks to every one. When has he ever done that? Ashley doesn't care, so why would he set up a conference call to congratulate all the staff. Why would Ashley phone, to then say we'll speak on Wednesday. More likely words got to Bruce that the takeover has happened and he's being fired on Wednesday.
bery difficult for you to say that. So far they haven’t promised to buy the best players and get the best manager, unlike the people not buying Newcastle. Unless it’s done?
