    My daughter did quite a lot of work on ours, and on my fathers side we were heavily link with the Warmgate in York, where various generations lived and died. She got back to the 1600 which was really interesting.

    My mother side were very much linked with Nottingham and lived in Radcliffe of Trent for many generations.

    We only came to Hull in the 1930's, when my Grandfather on my fathers side came to be the first greenkeeper of Springhead Golf club when it first opened. I was born in the lodge on the corner of Wymsley Road which was where Grandfather lived whilst being greenkeeper.
