Football is a funny old game..Yes we all know that the players at our disposal after loanees leave and others that have not renewed contracts but if we did get promoted to the promised land we could have the pick of hundreds of players to suit Coopers style if he is still here. I always believe in trying to better yourself and if we don’t take the chance we could end up like Sunderland ,Portsmouth or even worse Bolton. I also think the Americans are on our side....dont forget players bought by us in the last 2 years of Jenks tenure were expensive and didn’t fit. our style or what ever We we’re trying to play.
Swansea City boss Steve Cooper names an unchanged side for the first leg of the play-off semi-final against Brentford at the Liberty Stadium (6.30pm). The Swans head coach goes with the same XI that started the midweek win over Reading, which catapulted them into the top six. Defender Mike van der Hoorn had been a doubt after coming off at half-time in Berkshire, but he is passed fit to face the Bees. You can download a copy of the official teamsheet HERE. The Dutchman lines up alongside Ben Cabango and Marc Guehi in a back three, with Erwin Mulder in goal behind them. Connor Roberts and Jake Bidwell are the two wing-backs, with Jay Fulton and Matt Grimes taking the deep-lying midfield roles. Conor Gallagher will operate ahead of them, with Andre Ayew looking to support in-form striker Rhian Brewster up top. However, there is no place on the bench for Wayne Routledge, with Swansea’s two-goal hero from Wednesday ruled out by injury, with under-23s’ defender Cameron Evans taking a place in a senior matchday squad for the first time.
