Ideally I'd like to see: Hamer Solly-Taylor-Morrison-Wiggins Green-Stephens-Hollands-JJ Hayes-BWP Sullivan, Cort, Evina, Waggy, Kermorgant As well as having a very exciting bench (Wagstaff and Kermorgant as impact subs, plus I'm sure Evina could do the same at LM), every position is covered: R.B - switch Morrison to there, bring on Cort CB - Cort LB - Evina/ switch JJ RM - Waggy CM - switch JJ, bring on Evina/Waggy LM - Evina/Waggy Bwp- Waggy Hayes - Kermorgant Minus the event of injuries though I'd like to see: Kermorgant come on for Hayes with 20 mins to go. Waggy/Evina on for tired Papa Hollands with JJ switching to CM. Prediction: 2-2 (with a last gasp goal going to Sheff Utd - rarely does a long-ish journey to an away game end in happiness for me). Hayes and Stephens as scorers.
I think you'll find it's just me and certain ladies (from the later channels on Sky) who sell our used ones Tweaks
I reckon Green and Kermit (the new lad up front) may get the nod over Waggy & Hayes. This will be our biggest test so far and hopefully the lads will pull it off.
Based on the performance against MK Dons, I think Powell should make a little change around: Hamer Solly Morrison Taylor Wiggins Green Hollands Stevens Jackson Wright-Phillips Kermorgant For the following reasons: Kermorgant: Has signs that he'd be better than Hayes. Know Hayes has scored quite a few goals, but he's not as good at passing the ball as Kermorgant. Kermorgant seemed better at holding up the ball, and it was through him, getting the ball to Green that led to the equaliser. Green: Don't get me wrong, Wagstaff is a top quality player, but he doesn't seem to take players on any more. Only when he had 900 fans urging him on did he do that. Green also seems to be better at putting the ball in the box, as well as taking free kicks. Tricky one to say really, as pretty much the starting 11 + subs have all been playing sterling, and been a credit to our unbeaten run. But this is going to be one tough game, and we're going to have to play that bit better.
Have to strongly disagree here as from what I've seen in the away highlights and all the home games watched live Hayes is easily the best passer in the team
You are not necessarily at conflict with cafc_fan. I suspect you are both right. Hayes is the best passer among those who have been playing regularly but, judging by the very small sample we have seen, Kermorgant might be even better. Doubts about Kermorgant are his stamina/fitness and, just possibly, temperament under pressure. Not saying these are problems, just that we don't yet know. Anyway, whatever we may prefer, we all know that CP will start with an unchanged team if everyone is fit. (I wonder if Hollands and BWP are 100%?) And he will stick with it all the time we look good for a point or three, bringing on Green and/or Kermorgant if we need rescuing.
yeah good point - I'm basing my vast knowledge of Kermit on his sub appearance against Chesterfield !!
Would love to see Green start but I think Powell will stick with the team that's getting the results, unless Wright-Phillips is rested after taking a knock against MK. Kermogant looks promising but will probably stay on the bench unless BWP is indeed rested.
Finally here after a long drive, had a few too many drinks already, alot of dans thinking it'll be tight but good, draws all round
unchanged team, I thought Green should have started and possibly Kermit too but I can understand CP not changing the team, COYR!
