Tin hat on, I'd have him. I mean, he was ****e for us in the main, but he always put a shift in against vastly better defences than we face now, and he's got a very good record in the championship. Obviously not getting any younger but **** me it's not as if he can be getting any ****ing slower. I don't mean to damn with faint praise, but he's a different level to Wyke.

Agree. At least he'd show Grigg how a slow ****e footballer is meant to play.

No offence but **** that. How about someone young with pace and a bit of an eye for goal? As for him being better than Wyke, I'm better than Wyke. And I'm a camel.

He’d be top class at this level. We are in a shockingly bad league.

If he’d take a reasonable contract for a year why wouldn’t we consider it? We have nothing up front at the minute and for all the other areas of concern we need 2-3 strikers in or we may as well opt out of the ****ing season.

He would've (has) pissed this league a short while ago, Christ knows what he'll be like now if he's lost of the pace he didn't really have to start with

He's 34 and scored 4 goals last season in 38 championship games. I think if we are planning on winning the league, we need to look at someone a bit younger, faster and has a better goal to game ratio

How badly someone does in The Championship doesn't really matter. Loads of League One strikers struggle in that league. The big issue is his age, has it caught up to him, if not then he'll do a very good job in this division. Problem is we won't know unless we sign him and I'm not up for risks like that

Surely letting Kimpioka have a chance is a better option. Give him a run of games and see if he is up to the mark.

I want a team of ten O'Niens and mid thirties has beens wouldn't be something I'd be looking to sign. It's not like Luke was/is expensive.

No for me as per his previous record here, his age and he can score goals but not enough to get us out of this league.
no idea who we could bring in if we haven't any cash as it appears at the moment.
would rather see if Grigg is going to show any interest next season.

A team of average, but hard working and affable players would see us remain in the third tier for eternity.

I like O’Nien but O’Nien’s don’t win you games, let alone leagues.

Don't think you're giving him enough credit mate he's a good footballer for this level. Nearly scored as many as Wyke despite being played out of position and at RB at that.

A team of young players who can play a bit, run for days, score goals, fight anyone and anything and who would literally take a bullet for the club despite only signing yesterday would piss the league. And that's O'Nien.

    It really wouldn’t mate.

I’ve said plenty of times I like O’Nien, but he’s a decent player, nothing more than that, and that’s for the level.

He does improve,,he is full of heart, and he is one of our better players, which is precisely why we are still in League One.

I can assure you nobody else in the league is wishing they had a team full of them.

Disagree about Luke I think he's a good player, but it's beside the point which was simply that I don't want us signing players at the back end of their career I want us signing young and hungry players, who are equally cheap but have potential and sell on value.

Aye I wholly agree on that mate. We just need a bit more quality. Players like Luke have a better chance of improving if we have a bit more in there as well.

I really do hope we take a punt on Maddison, I know he’s got an attitude issue but we need a bit of that magic. I haven’t a clue where we find a striker.

I've been undecided on Maddison but I would take him now, we need more players with attitude imo we've been too soft for too long and it has cost us at crucial times when our lack of backbone has been exposed.

    Good player too obviously.
