It was watchable, but no GoT. Currently watching a documentary series on how the FBI brought down the Mafia in the 80/90's. Scary how powerful the Mafia were at the time in New York. Decent watch up to now
Just finished first season of the Sopranos excellent as I thought it would be having heard rave reviews about it when first on.Don't really know why I never watched it when it was current but looking forward to the rest.
Has it ever professed to be. I keep seeing that thrown at it, but in the build up I never saw anything saying it was the 'new GoT', the only thing I've seen is saying that its fantasy and people who liked GoT might like it. But I agree it was watchable, but not spectacular. But Katherine Langford is worth watching. Watched Snowpiercer (the series), again watchable, but not a patch on the film. Kind of loses its impact by being stretched out, no sense of the insanity and chaos the film creates. The lead actor also seems a poor choice and the size, height and width of the train is all over the place
Does snowpiercer add anything that the film didn't? If they had done a series on the events that led to it I would have been more interested.
No. Pretty much starts in the same place. A few extra details and characters but follows the same basic story, but stretched out and with more back and forth. Spoiler: Snowpiercer Although s2 might do, as they're planning to expand the storyline beyond the film
I didn't have access first time round. Wonderful series. Up there with the greats. BB, BCS The Wire, Chernobyl, The Rockford Files.....
Greyhound ... very effective and efficient war film on the battle of the Atlantic that plays out in a confined and restricted way, which sometimes affects the character development, but which makes the most of its run time with nice points of tension and release, even though it's effectively one long continuous sequence
Nope, superb performances from Saoirse Ronan (always superb, see the film Brooklyn) and Florence Pugh.
