Some of the best games of football I ever played were when I used to help a mate out who worked at a local special needs school. We would take the kids down to the nearest pitch an let them pick the teams, which usually led to massive arguments.There would often be about sixteen a side, including staff. The teams more than not consisted of about nine strikers, sometimes two, even three goal keepers, a few would get bored and wander off the pitch. As soon as you got the ball for more than a nano second everyone would start shouting "pass, pass!" Honestly it was hilarious playing footie with them but also very rewarding.
We called it “goal mooching”. But that wasn’t me when scoring 23 goals. I played a deeper role coming through from midfield.
