I bet these countries in MENA banning Bein will trigger a frustration clause in the contract giving PL the the right to terminate and renegotiate. I think the final piece of the jigsaw is falling into place for KSA.

Also... if others are now banning BEIN: 1- the PL will see THEM as the problem with regards PL broadcasts 2- the PL now have validation for them to ignore the whole rights issue in the context of the takeover as other countries are validating KSA’s decision to ban now by doing the same. basically if the deal passes and Qatar pipe up... they can be slapped down by the fact it isn’t a KSA issue anymore. this I think is very important.
they have indeed mate. the ‘innocent’ PL can now legitimately do a deal with MENA as a whole or KSA for rights. Everyone wins, bar Qatar. I think their bribery of FIFA will weight heavily on their minds right now. If they give in and block the takeover then they open themselves up to a lot of scrutiny and also will lose the opportunity to make more money. it also helps that the government are in favour of the deal as they can also reference that if needs be. stars are aligning....
