Afternoon all, Watched the highlights last night & only then realised that Pablo had a hat-trick of assists. In the 'live' euphoria, I hadn't realised. Am I the only one?
Understand the sentiments perfectly of those of you missing the Championship. I agree it was a great league and Ive many great memories of it. However, can I point out the likely outcome next season had we failed to go up. No Bielsa, No Philips, a massive hole in finances that would need plugging, likely with more sales. In other words, start the rebuilding process all over again for about tenth time since our pl relegation. No thanks lads, not for me. Regardless of how plastic or boring some of our games might appear next season, they'll provide the revenue for our club to grow to next level and ultimately European football again in future seasons
It was some run in after the lockdown. I think we won 7 out of 9, 6 wins on the trot, incredible. From the look of Ben White at the celebrations I think he's played his last game for us. It's a pity. I'm delighted for Kalvin, turned down huge money to stay and help us get promoted. Who says there's no loyalty left.
Afternoon all... It was the best final day of the season I can ever remember. We broke a record, we won convincingly, I could enjoy it without an ounce of anxiety, we’ve seen the likes of Shackleton and Struijk and Poveda shine, it was exciting watching WBA and Brentford trying to throw it away, it was fantastic seeing Forest crumble and miss out, it was equally exciting watching Charlton and Hull condemned to Div 1 and I’m even pleased for Barnsley who played some great football and deserved to stay up
Corberan has left the stadium probably for hudders but not confirmed yet. Good to see he has zero ambition and is chasing a pay rise.
Part of the Bielsa master plan, he is going there so we can use them as our B team and get a few players over on loan to learn their trade in a division below before getting them back
Exactly then why would we want any from hudders. Thats the only standard of player they could supply.
Just read on the Norwich forum that Canary Dave passed away at the start of this month, very sad news, I remember a few chats with him, always seemed a decent fella
