Tbf although I think he would be a good signing, I wouldn’t cry over missing out on him as long as a decent alternative is lined up.

It’s not the glamour signing like Dybala would have been or even a exciting attacking one like Bruno would have been so I’m prepared to jinx it

Isn't that what the mods of your lot's board say when they see yet another day go past with nobody posting on it?

    Kim Min-jae
Dan Kilpatrick reports we've been quoted a £15m fee

Looks like the Levying is working, as they were quoting us £16.5m late last week...so because it's a nice, round figure (which I suggested we compromise on last week, IIRC) can we stop dicking about and get this **** sorted before the Chinese season resumes?

Few reports saying Tanganga’s likely to seal his new contract soon. 4 year deal.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s already done. Spurs are known to delay announcements on new contracts.

I hope so. He's put in some fantastic performances this season and looks like a real prospect.
His versatility is impressive, as he's seemed to adapt to new positions in days, but I'd love it if he could nail down a starting spot soon.
Might be a little too early to hope for, though.

Eze with a cracking goal, as West Brom sneak over the line.

What a talent Eze is. Pray we get him.

Loan QPR a couple of our youngsters as a sweetener in the deal.

There's an assumption that Luke Amos will be a makeweight in the deal

Personally I think that, if we were to bring in Eze, we should loan Whiteman as part of the deal as he's badly in need for first team experience (while, in comparison, Austin has some in the Danish second tier) and loaning him to a mid-Championship club right out of our academy has a degree less risk attached compared to someone like White, Bowden, Bennett, Markanday etc

Looks like we've got a Narrative today, lads!

First of all the Daily Wail report that, if Bournemouth are relegated this coming weekend, we'll be making a bid for Aaron Ramsdale

Meanwhile, the Daily Wail...yes, really, reports that we're looking to bring in Fulham's Marcus Bettinelli, who is reportedly available for £1m as he enters the final year of his contract, although they probably got that figure from what Transfermarkt value him at

Meanwhile, absolutely nobody remembers that Jack Butland exists, even though he's entering the final year of his contract and Stoke are midtable in the Championship these days...

Butland has had a poor season by all accounts. I’m sure there’s still a decent keeper in there somewhere but his stock is lower now and if he wants to get near the England squad again he’ll need to be starting for a PL team really. I don’t see him getting the move he needs for that unless someone takes a punt.

Keeper wise I’d rather just give Whiteman the third spot and loan Austin again.

Austin for me is the better prospect so I’d rather he continue his development. I know Gazza got some chances which allowed him to begin proving himself but it’s very rare to see a 3rd choice play often so I don’t really see the point in spending any limited money we do have on a keeper, even if they’re dirt cheap.

Probably not great for Whiteman in that situation, though.
Loan them both out and pick up an experienced keeper on the cheap or free.

...which is where Butland comes into it

Of course, one thing the Mail's obsession with linking us with goalkeepers neglects to mention is we already have Gazzaniga as backup, and while it's feasible that Ramsdale could become our starting keeper I'm not so sure Bettinelli could, and it has to be asked why we'd pay for a number two when we already have one (other than the obvious answer that will no doubt get Diego frothing at the mouth when I mention it...)

The Third Annual Tanguy Ndombele Transfer Saga Watch/Eight Years of Brozovich Rumours Watch
The Corriere dello Sport report we are considering a swap deal with Inter, with Marcelo Brozovic heading our way and Tanguy Ndombele theirs

The fact that Brozovic has two years on his contract while Ndombele has five has me thinking that this story might be complete and utter bollocks...

    Bundesliga Rando Watch 1
Kicker report that Robin Koch is keen to leave Freiberg this summer, so keen that he's stalling on signing a new contract even though he's got just a year left on his current one. As we've been habitually linked with Koch all season long, of course this means we're being linked with him yet again

Considering he's broken into the German team this season, it's no surprise that he's looking for a move that will improve his chances of getting picked more regularly - although there's ways to go about it that aren't ****ty, which he should maybe have investigated beforehand

    Bundesliga Rando Watch 2
    Mundo Deportivo

...**** it, I already started typing...

Mundo Deportivo report that we're looking at Schalke winger Can Bozdogan, who has broken into the team in the last few weeks having generally bossed it in their U19s as an attacking midfielder, who is supposedly available for £9m - although Atletico Madrid are also hovering

    Goalkeeper Watch
The Daily Wail aren't giving up on their Narrative of us looking to sign a keeper this summer, with them now linking us with a move for Ben Foster if Watford are relegated at the end of the season

If this happens, I hope that we have loans for Whiteman and Austin lined up next season, because the amount of time wasting during training sessions will mean they never get started on their drills...
