Not far off. I remember telling people that I was a Leeds fan from about the age of 5, so that would be 39 years and counting.
And as this recent photo of Eireleeds proves, he doesn't look a day over 21! please log in to view this image
Heyho BPB. Think I might just top Eire. The first game I can remember was the 1970 cup final. But I know I was following Leeds at least a season earlier. That said, following Leeds & physically getting off my fat ar&e to go & see a game instead of playing semi pro footy or cross country running are a different story. First game I ever went to was against Wimbledon in the FA Cup.
Ah, now first game.... that's a different story. Didn't see my first game until about 1983 (Arsenal away, FA Cup 4th round, 1-1) as my Dad was in the army and we moved around a lot when I was a kid. Actually when I think about it I could have ended up supporting Middlesbrough, Hamburg, Swansea or any number of soft southern bastard clubs. Good job my uncles and my grandad kept me on the right path.
It can work either way mate, I saw my first game at 2 but wouldnt say I could be classed as a supporter so young? Id say ive supported them as in season ticket holder since I was 4
I STARTED WATCHING LEEDS IN 1950 OR 51 REMEBER THE GAME WAS AGAINST BRENTFORD so you are just a novice I,m afraid no douby Blue can tell me which year it was
I also supported Leeds in my past life, going back to 1919 which probably makes me the longest serving supporter?
well done son..... 36 for me..as i remember the leeds kit he put me in on my fifth birthday have a old pic...
