Scotland's ONLY representatives in Europe face a difficult task against an in-form Udinese side.

Main striker Gary Hooper has recovered from a knock and is expected to start tonight but Celtic will be without a host of players including el-Kaddouri, Cha Du-Ri, Kris Commons, Kelvin Wilson and captain Scott Brown.

The Italian club are expected to rest star striker Antonio De Natale and are without any other recognised first team striker.

It should prove to be a tough game for Celtic but at least the fans can console themselves with more big European games to follow.

As we have made all the money we are going to already AND the fact we don't deserve to be there, we should play fringe players

Team if fit and eligible

Zaluska

Kaddouri
Wilson
Wanyama
Rogne

Forrest
Samaras
Ki
Kayal

Bangura
McCourt

See what they can do

You have no shame. I'd be embarrassed to mention it given the back door method you remained in the competition.

A few years ago when West Ham played Cremonese in Europe, their fans came up with the following amusing ditty:

We are mad,
we are crazy,
we are going to Cremonese.

It struck me that you could easily replace Cremonese with Udinese.

Don't say I'm not good to you. <ok>

I never realised how much of a cry baby you are squiggler.

Like Rangers, Sion fielded ineligible players. The only difference is Celtic, unlike Maribor, got their complaint in on time.

I would say cheats never prosper but the fact that Kyle Lafferty makes a good living out of playing football is proof that they occasionally do.

Which Rangers players did UEFA decide were ineligible?

Bocanegra.

Maribor needed to put in a complaint to UEFA within a certain time limit but were too late.

So, if a complaint was never lodged, how was he deemed ineligible by UEFA and how can you boldly state that he was?

I put it to you Mr. Stereoetypist, if that's your real name, that you're talking out of your arse again.

If you commit a crime and are lucky enough to get away with it, does that mean you didn't commit the crime?

You seem to be in a bit of a bad mood this morning squiggy. It's not like you.

Oh Stereo you need to get your facts right sir as I don't believe he was ineligible and it is nice that Celtic will give us a break as the ONLY representatives considering we have been for the past 3 years <doh>

Firstly, it was never established that a crime was committed as no appeal was made. Rangers were sure that he was eligible otherwise they wouldn't have played him.

Secondly, I asked you specifically which Rangers players did UEFA decide were ineligible and you replied 'Bocanegra'. By your own admission, you are wrong. Bocanegra was not deemed ineligible by UEFA.

Maribor were told that their complaint was too late and there was no appeal process.

I just wonder what we'll do tonight to shoot ourselves in the foot.

Penalty in the first two minutes?

Early own goal?

Free header in the box from a set-piece?

We'll find someway to **** it up.

Actually, what he said is he's confident of not losing. As part of the deal for taking over Rangers he put in a plan that would allow him to walk away unscathed should Rangers get hit with a massive tax bill.

So he wont lose but Rangers will IF it happens.

Looking forward to tonight’s match, hopefully we can pull one off here which would do us no end of good I believe. Shocking time for a kick off Celtic your home fans should take priority and a 7.45 or 8.00 kick off should have been a stipulation of any telly deal.

If they've got pace in midfield and up front then we're probably ****ed. The good thing is they're lacking in height so we SHOULD be able to handle set-pieces.

It's amazing. Ten years ago I would feel confident of beating any team at home, be it Man Utd, AC Milan, Juventus et al.

Now? I go into every Euro game expecting to get beat, even at home :emoticon-0101-sadsm

This ... Lennon said Celtic play a combination of Zonal and Man marking at set peices...

Guess what, it doesn't work! They need to change it as it appears most of our defenders don't knwo what to do at set peices and Mjallby needs to decide thE best way for teh defenders to defend ... adopt O'Neills tactics - GET IT TAE ****!
