Liverpool FC have struck a global partnership with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority and Economic Development Board Mauritius.

The three-year deal forms part of the country's drive to become a global tourist destination and business hub of Africa.

Billy Hogan, managing director and chief commercial officer at Liverpool FC, said: "This is an exciting partnership and we're delighted to build on our existing relationship with Mauritius following the opening of the LFC International Academy on the island in July 2019.

"We have a large, passionate fan base in Mauritius, and we're pleased to be able to bring our supporters closer to the club through this partnership."

Honourable Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, prime minister of Mauritius, added: "Mauritius is proud to be an official partner of Liverpool Football Club, a global football elite and Premier League champions.

"We both share common values of dedication, determination, and unity. This collaboration aims at strengthening and propelling Mauritius as a thriving economic powerhouse and a world class tourism destination."

I don't watch city games but going by their recent results, would it be fair to say that they play better when there's no pressure? If that is so and the opposite is true of us, then that's what the difference will be going into the new season.

I was not watching the match, just saw on Fantasy League he was docked points for missing a penalty.

I said a few days ago that they're great when things are going their way but short of character when they're not.
It's been that way all season - big scorers when it clicks but often struggling to overcome adversity.
Tbh, they were beatable in the seasons beforehand, it's just that not many were prepared to risk taking the game to them.

Unless there's a big change there then hopefully they can be got at again next season. I don't know what our biggest improvement needs to be. Klopp will be working on them and with them to reach an even higher level.

We just need to hope that we don't have too many major injuries. The core of the squad is obviously strong enough, given what we've achieved over the last two seasons. If the young promising players can step up, then that's all to the good. A couple of additions will help, but we'll never match City's strength in depth.

Sacking of Nigel Pearson looks like a mistake for Watford, Villa only need to match the result of Watford to stay up on Sunday

Watford’s results wouldn’t have changed had Pearson been in charge or not. They still would have lost against city and probably will and would have lost against arsenal on final day.

pretty sure we’re just expecting villa to not win anymore games this season when they made the decision
