Our fans were amazing tonight. 2-0 down and I could only hear one set of supporters and it certainly wasn't the Cardiff ones. Can't wait to go to Derby and Reading!

I was there and the Saints were not the better team. They could have left with something, sure, and had they been playing last years bunch of showoffs they may have done. Miller should have had three, Saints could have had three. . . but you didn't. Welcome to the championship - that's the way it goes. We know, only too well. Enjoy what I belive will only be a short stay at the top. Brilliant fans by the way, sang their hearts out.

At last a decent Cardiff poster, well done on tonights win, the realists among us know that we can't win them all but there's nothing wrong in hoping to.

I'm sure you're correct on every point you make. Most of us know that life will be tough in the Championship. It is arguably [some would say, without doubt] the most competitive league in British professional football. There is one point I'd make though. Saints are there, at the top. Not 6th, not 10th, but top. They'll probably not stay there until May, but stranger things have happened. In any case, I take your point fully. But bear in mind that we are there and we're slightly further along the track to making it into the top 6 or top 2 than every other team. We can stay here for 3 seasons and still be on-track. And every season we're here we'll strengthen. We're in a hurry, but we're also patient. Well, at least some of us are. ;)

    I think you will find I didn't.

    Started by SaintDon 13

    .

Which "statisically" makes your statement that "I started it" 100% wrong............as for your statement.

Well how do you KNOW that? Are you personally accquainted with every member of the population of Cardiff? Let's see some "statistics" to back up such a sweeping statement,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,or as I suspect lets get down to the nitty gritty, you (unlike a lot of Saint's fans) just thought that your team just had to turn up at an injury ravaged Cardiff to walk away with three points, you were beaten, you don't like it and don't have the class or manners to accept defeat gracefully, I am beginning to wonder whether 13 is your age or IQ, As I've already mentioned there were a lot of decent Saints at the ground tonight, and there have been some decent posts from GENUINE Saints fans on here............your team lost. get over it,

Being such a sore loser, along with the racist muppets that reared their ugly heads earlier, well it doesn't show Saints fans or the club in a very good light............IF you are a Saints fan you need to think before you open your mouth, as people will take you as representative of the club you support and it's fans...........it's evident that you are probably not. as most Saint's fans have shown intelligence and maturity, qualities, apparent on todays evidence that you are sadly lacking.

I'm intrigued to know where that exactly is..? Does everyone in Britain think Hampshire is some basket of farmers land and produce..? I'll give you there's plenty of man-made countryside, in the form of fields, but of course it's dominated by The New Forest, especially in our neck of the woods. However, there's still far too many Tescos, MacDonalds, corporate brands and encroaching city to call us carrot crunchers IMO.

Think I'd like to be known as a carrot cruncher. I'm not that keen on carrots though. I love Chilli Peppers..! :D

I wrote a post on the injury hype and i don't feel foolish,i was stating a fact that cardiff players were injured, didn't say we would win because of it! honestly, maybe just get off that high horse for a while!

On to the game,i was there and here are my honest thoughts.First half not many chances, even game i thought but nothing exciting happened,Cardiff seemed to do their homework and closed us down at the back so we resorted to a few long balls,Cardiff had a couple of bemusing freekicks awarded in shooting range which came to nothing.2nd half we dominated, especially after they scored their first, poor goal to give away, don't know for sure but think davis was a little slow off the line but obviously it was down the other end so couldn't see a lot.Spiderman should of equalised after the best move of the match, would of been a lovely goal, unfortunately more or less straight after that we concede a poor second by playing around our penalty area and giving it away, annoying to say the least! after that we played some nice stuff and should of scored a few goals, how rickie didn't score one of those headers i'll never know! De ridder came on and made a difference and his goal was nicely taken, all in all i'd say i'm quite content but why couldn't we just start the match like we ended it? would of won this game at a canter. Was impressed by Cardiffs workrate but that's about it,they really didn't have any other shots but the 2 goals which we gave them,if they didn't happen we would of won so although annoying i regard it as just one of those nights, you win some, you lose some.If we win on saturday by enough goals we stay top going into the international break, not bad! By the way,i think De ridder should be given a start against Watford,he gets better every game i see him,he'll be a great player for us!

Hi,i was there too and to be honest Cardiff were better in workrate but that's about it,i'm not being bitter or insulting but in all other apsects we were the better team, especially in the 2nd half,2 shots,2 goals, welldone but i don't see you making a promotion challenge. We won't stay on top for long, you base this on seeing us once? smart move! If you looked back on leicester posters after we played them alot of them said we'll be challenging for promotion based on one performance,i'll just do with your opinion like i did with theirs and take it with a pinch of salt.

Well, I base it on a couple of things. Several seasons in the championship and having been at the top ourselves at this time of the season more than once. It's quite simply not easy to stay there. QPR manage it with their riches, Newcastle bounced back up, but already Brighton have slipped (and they looked excellent down here). Yes, Saints also look a good team and will be there or thereabouts I imagine. But it's a long season and a nervous one towards its end. Also, Cardiff this year are a very different proposition to last year's. Frankly, unless we get some more players in we'll struggle to keep up with the pace, but it won't be for lack of trying. As a season ticket holder I would rather watch this years lot than last year's any day - and that effort, with everyone fit, will stand us in good stead against the 'better teams'. However, being 'better' includes that effort. We will run hot and cold this year - apparently we ran Blackpool off the park and played lovely football. This week, it was effort that counted. Oh, and 'two shots'? Miller should have buried you with his third effort. We also had at least three free kicks just outside the area in the first half which, on his day Wittingham would have put away. We could quite easily have been out of sight by half time. Sometimes I wonder which game people have been watching. Anyway, as I said, good, loud fans. All the best.

Touchy lot ain't they? How they can read arrogance in most of our posts is beyond me, that is probably the problem, they cannot appreciate the fact that we are enjoying a bit of success after a seriously bad situation and are happy to waffle on about it, that is hardly arrogance and the rubbish that we had to endure from SB3 and co. when things weren't going right was unacceptable and they will have to take it, as well as dish it when the tables are turned. If I upset a couple of Cardiff fans I offer my apologies, not my intention at all, it was just nonsense banter for my fellow Saints fans, the problem seems to be that you have taken me too seriously, check my signature, the silly post bit, I did take mild offence at being called a 13 year old and son, but I will get over it and move on. Racist?, do you mean teasing a fellow member of the United Kingdom or have I missed the point here?
