According to a taxi driver i was talking to one night i was living down the same street last year as a York City player, who it is i can't remember.
Either he just visits Leeds everyday, or Paul McShane lives near me, a colleague is convinced they've seen "that McLean bloke who plays for you" around work too. Mate from uni had Deano living opposite him whilst he was at Oldham.
I don't have any living near to the players but (ignoring the ones I've met through playing football with/against): I know Ryan Williams other half. My next door neighbour in Hull was good friends with Martin Carruthers so I've met him a couple of times. David Mail used to be one of the delivery drivers when I worked for Jacksons when I was younger. When I moved up here I found out Neil Mann's mum was one of our customers and had no idea how well known/remembered he is by fans from the time. (Alright Manny I played against, but his mum wasn't involved in the games) A couple of the other customers were best mates with Matt Gilks from going to school with him in the north west. Unfortunately I stopped working for the company last summer so I couldn't try tapping him up this summer. And I can't remember who it is now but one of the other customers was a former City player, one from before my time but one I'd heard of...it'll probably come to me later on. (And not Scott Thompson although I know he was the goalkeeper coach at Dunfermline when I first moved here) It sounds less impressive when you leave out the ones I played in games with because it's almost all friends and relatives of the players instead of the payers themselves.
My sister's neighbour is Nathan Doyle ex-City now Barnsley. I've chatted to him & his kids sometimes play with my sisters'..
I have a couple of players and a member of the senior management live near , one very near, to me but that's all I'm saying .

John Hawley's a neighbour of mine. There was a time a few years ago when almost half our first team lived on pretty much the same street, Ash, Joseph, Elliot, Greenie and the sarge.
My 6 year old lad goes to school with Lawrie Dudfield's daughter of the same age, and Dudfield came to my lads 6th Birthday party !!! Gary Alexander use to live a few houses away from my Brother-in law in Hedon when he played for City.
