Reed needs a team that is committed to him. Unless we are planning to make him a regular starter, it makes zero sense for him to sign a new deal here. I would be shocked if he wasn't sold...we're way past it being sensible for him to stay here to 'get a look in'. Either we plan for him to have a big role or he moves on.
I don’t see Reed as anything more than back up. I love the sentiment of youngsters coming through, it’s what we should be all about, but there’s too much sentiment on Reed. Nice lad, but I don’t think he’s the level we need.
I'm probably one of the rare ones in believing that Reed can be a Romeu-level player, but at this point it's pretty clear that the team disagrees. Given that he's hardly young anymore it's pretty hard to see what anyone gains from farming him out for another year.
interesting one. I’ve only seen him live twice. Once he looked like Paul Scholes. The second time he played like Scholes’s mum. Those who have seen more of him rate him. It would be a real **** if we sold him for a £10 and then he turned out to be a decent player.
Presumably this isn't true, especially considering Everton had an initial bid of around £18m rejected. If Spurs are in the running it will have to be around the £15m mark and that would be when including KWP.
That must be bullshit, even Levy wouldm't offer just €4m - guessing they mean on top of KWP? Even then it would be a crap offer! I'd rather sell now for £20/25m than keep another season.
