Apart from Samuel L Jackson, do we have any celeb supporters, and are they helpful in swelling attendances? If we don't have enough, Bhatia should go on a recruitment campaign.

We could always get Pete Docherty in, he could chuck the Foolham fans off the top tier in between snorts...

Ok, I bite! My first game was an away game, at S***ford Bridge in October 1979, we won 2-0, and that was good enough for me. Since then, it was downhill in terms of results and crowds, which in the early 80s were actually pretty decent.

The fact is that success draws crowds, as you lot would have seen in Div 3 - we had to go even further down to Div 4, hence the 4,000 crowds. The fact is that we're also similar size clubs, albeit you have richer owners now.

Some of the comments from you lot here sound like those made on out site by the "Lily come latelys", though to be fair to her, her dad has being going to Fulham for many years, so no surprise to see her there.

As i said John i dont really have a problem with Fulham and have said on many that your club has done really well in recent times. What i do object to is being called: QPHa mugs, jokers and cocky
I have been watching QPR for many years home and away and i have met many fans from other clubs and have a good memory and knowledge of those clubs. so 'Cocky' no just happy to be watching our team play good football. 'Mugs'? and 'Jokers' i think the Lilly Allen tears, the Hugh Grant scarf and a Michael Jackson statue puts an end to that.

Fair point, I take that back - we get laughed at often, so I get defensive. All the best apart from Sunday obviously.

Our crowds haven't been that changed from the division 2 days, have they? Especially when you factor in the increased away followings?

Same as Ellers, I've no problem with Fulham at all really. With the Jacko statue and Hugh, Lily and others there are an easy target to mock. They have done well to get the crowds they have when the local Fulham demographic has changed so much.

Agree with that. Fulham have proved with a good stay in the Premiership you can grow your fan base. Yes they have the neutral end which helps and i actually think its a good idea if its controlled properly (Saturday not being a good example as i feel many Rangers will take the stand over). This is where we missed out by not being in the Premiership all those years between 96-now. However i think with a good stay in top flight and a well run club we will see QPR crowds grow very quickly and a new stadium will not be that far off.

Also agree with that Watford. I have always said that our away support is very good. on the old BBC 606 i was always having tangles with the Reading fans (seem worlds apart now). i remember us getting knocked for gates of 13K when they got 20K yet we could take 2K away and they managed 200-300? Even when we were down in League One i remember Rangers going to grounds with 2k away support. I have always said that really shows what a clubs true support is. Many Premiership teams are as bad, they can get +20K home gates and take nothing away.
If you look at percentage for home attdns to away support i bet we are up there.

Guys don't forget to turn up early so you can have your picture taken at the Michael Jackson statue.

You will need to be in the home end, as that is where the ***** statue resides, complete with mustard sauce that it has been drowned in a few times - you can always have a pic taken next to the Johnny Haynes statue outside the ground!

Hugh, Lily, Rupert and Jemima were thoroughly chuffed with the spiffing way their band of chaps played yesterday down at that place by that jolly old river.

Furthermore, they were heartened by the absence of those ruffians from Shepherds Bush, both on the field and in the home sections of that spiffing old ground.

Of course, there were a few QPHa scallywags who appeared to have found their way in to the Directors box, but they were dressed appropriately, and that awfully nice chap who used to help us out at Harrods provided a large enough hamper of prawn sarnies, caviar and Pimms to keep us all happy, although nothing seemed to please those ruffians once the game started.

I do have pity for our wonderful fans, many of whom paid £55 for the privilege of that performance. No wonder Fayed was grinning from ear to ear...
