  1. That so-called study is a joke. It wasn’t tested in real world conditions, and even the language used is non-committal and vague.

I know you flatter yourself that governmental propaganda doesn’t work on you, Pix, but if this was 1936, you’d be wearing a black shirt and telling everyone to vote for that nice Mr Hitler.

Stanford University medical professors are only interested in spreading propaganda now ?

And you think I'm the one who's brainwashed <laugh>

my take on it as it has a minimal effect on airborne transmission but will gelp reduce the amount of viral matter on surfaces .

Perhaps you ought to take the time to actually read it before talking bollocks mate <ok>

  6. Those Stanford professors are pawns in the game. They prat about with their little tests in the safety and comfort of their university campus, compiling Noddy data and reaching vague, useless conclusions, and it’s used by government mouthpieces to back up its draconian anti-society agenda, because a bunch of specky nerds concluded that there is a remote possibility that, under very specialised circumstances, wearing a face covering might stop some water borne viruses from travelling far enough to cause infection. No mention of the harmful effects of wearing the same old ****ty, greasy, finger smeared face covering over and over again, because that wasn’t part of the study.

Please, Pix, you are embarrassing yourself.

    Wow

You started off by saying that face masks 'cause more harm than good', I then pointed out to you that what you were talking about was human behaviour i.e. wearing old masks, not washing hands, touching faces etc. Not the efficacy of the face masks themselves.

You could have just said, 'Yes Pix, you are right, right I meant the way people wear them, not the masks themselves' But instead, you dug yourself into a hole without a shred of evidence and challenged me to prove you wrong, which I have just done. But instead of actually bothering to read the study, you have instead dismissed professors of medical science as 'pawns in the game' because you are too pig thick as **** to even entertain the idea that two PHD researchers might know more about it than you

And you actually believe that I'm the one embarrassing myself here. <laugh>

You should have just stuck to the line 'it's pointless trying to argue' mate

Because it's clear you lack the capacity to deal with facts.

Booked a last minute thing to Spain. One fat knobhead chav kicking off about wearing a mask and that was it. It’s really not a big deal to sit on a plane for a few hours with one on let alone 20 minutes in Asda. It’s just attention-seeking.

People are quite on it here. Have to wear one in all communal areas of the hotel, on the street etc. but it’s really not difficult.

I’ll row my own little boat thanks.

I bumped some of the absolutely embarrassing posts you’ve previously made about COVID19 back at the start of this crisis, literally last night.

    Unsurprisingly you ignored them.

    So you can start there.

    WHO advice:
"The general public should wear non-medical masks where there is widespread transmission and when physical distancing is difficult, such as on public transport, in shops or in other confined or crowded environments."

    Seems pretty clear to me.

The image I posted was referring to medical masks, if worn properly. Obviously that's not possible for everyone, but they do work.

"To develop the guidance, the agency consulted with a range of international experts from different countries and disciplines such as infectious diseases and epidemiology. Their review of a variety of evidence demonstrated some new findings, including that face protections, including respirators or medical masks, can result in a large reduction of transmission of coronaviruses, including COVID-19.

Recommendations, such as those regarding fabric masks, are the result of new research that the WHO commissioned that was not available a month ago. This new evidence, said Dr Maria Van Kerkhove, WHO Technical Lead, has shown that the recommended fabric combination "can actually provide a mechanistic barrier that if someone were infected with COVID-19, you can prevent those droplets from going through and infecting someone."

Officials acknowledged that in some countries with dense populations it is difficult, if not impossible, to maintain social distancing, making masks "very important," stressed Soumya Swaminathan, WHO Chief Scientist"

    Yep this.

The advice was updated a while ago. Both on the back of the evidence provided by Stanford University (you know, the 'pawns in the game' that HIAG dismissed) and the Centre for diseases control prevention <ok>

There may be a good reason why he is arguing so vehemently against them. This from some recent Japanese research:

The Japanese researchers also found that people with more body fat were less willing to wear face masks.

“When people are obese, they feel more uncomfortable wearing a mask as obese adults inhale an average of 50 per cent more air per day than non-obese adults,” they said.

@Hoddle is a god still hasn’t changed his opinion that COVID-19 is just some bad flu, and people were gonna die anyway so hey ho it don’t matter, and anyway the numbers are being hyped by Governments and medical pros who are their puppets.

Oh and Hiag has also dissed The Holocaust as something bad that happened but everyone has done some genocide !

Ironic, given that obese people are also more at risk due to that co-morbidity

A minimum of 40, 000 had died of the virus in this country.
Approximately 620,000 have died world wide.

That's with full lockdowns in most (if not all countries).

Only a complete moron believes that
this is no worse than the usual flu.
