Or maybe, just maybe, the timing was all coincidental and had absolutely nothing to do with any proposed or cancelled takeover. Perhaps it was only to do with the Global issues presented by the WTO.

Didn’t have to be long term. It could have been a season long extension.

It won’t be much money so if the deal does go ahead then they could just buy them out of the deal.

This news is going to blow up Twitter.

Why's that odd? It says "long term". Most likely it's 8 years.

Which is what I was saying about a month ago when a lot of folks where saying they where doing it to buy little old toon.

The fact is we are tiny in comparison to some of their deals. They where getting their **** together for much wider scale issues than just facilitating the purchase of our club.

I mean it could still happen but I maintain still that if it was to happen it would have happened by now.

Twitter is going to go boom!

The words long term don’t really have any definition I agree but if it had said 1 year or short term I would have been less worried.

But all deals like this they tell you the length of them. There is no need to hide it.

Next week we have our final game of the season. The game when next seasons kit is to be worn ( usually)

Charnley's said "years to come" in his statement. Mate, it's entirely in keeping with Ashley's tin pot club to simply miss details, either accidentally or on purpose.

Danny Mills came out with this:

“The problem is, is this American bid concrete?

“Is that going to happen? Because if you start to explore that while you’re dealing with the Saudis, having worked several times in the Middle East, what they they don’t like being is undermined.

“They’re in poll position. As far as their concerned, it’s their deal until it’s not their deal, until it’s finished.

“The moment you go an talk to another party, I expect they would pull the plug on it. That would be my only concern. Therefore, If your American deal isn’t a concrete one, you’d be left with nothing.”

How very convenient that the news has been circulated that Ashley "met" Mauriss, which then "undermines" the Saudis and - hey presto - no deal. What a shocking coincidence. Interesting that Kenyon was VERY curt when saying he couldn't get the deal "over the line"; and how very strange he would use the exact words that caused so much ire for NUFC fans during the Pardew years.

I'll cling on to the 1% of me hoping for something when the season ends/window opens, but 99% of me is just thinking "**** this stupid club, it's pathetic, petty owner and everything it stands for."

Under Mike Ashley it will be " years to come"

When we get taken over then that may change

Regardless, to think the club can put out this against the backdrop of so much uncertainty and anguish is ****ing reprehensible.

There's the tiniest chance there still may be some kind of takeover, but it now definitely doesn't involve Saudis.

Well that does it for me then if gambling isn’t legal surely that is a big hint that the deal is off.

As far as piracy is concerned it’s illegal everywhere. It’s not like piracy is going to be our sponsor but a gambling company is.

I know nothing about contracts and buying clubs so I'm not gonna think about it.

I like Fun88s twitter account tho.

What a beautiful day. The sun is out. The birds are singing. The flips have flopped.
