Really looking forward to seeing BRENTFORD HOPE return today. Giving weight away, running over very different ground and having had an injury are all negatives but to my eye he looked pretty special on his debut.
In the opener at York I really fancy the Fav, JADOOMI 5/4. Team Crisford are really placing their horses well atm, as I mentioned earlier in the week, with a double from their only two runners on Tuesday and then their only runner obliging on Wednesday and then only 2 runners yesterday of which one won and the second missing out by the narrowest of margins. Wasn't going to do this one today as it was odds on last night, but I've changed my mind now at 5/4.
Am big fan of Double W’s- think he has a mighty chance today. Runs well fresh , will love the ground and only 1lb higher than his last win too. stable has been quiet since the return but that doesn’t worry me too much.
Also giving Flaming Spear another chance today- backed him at the royal meeting and showed nothing but he certainly has the ability to win this and you know he will pop up at a big price also pretty well treated too. So following him over thecliff once again

Ive noticed a few of you have tipped horses that have drifted. How big of a deal is price drifting when making your selections?
My view on this is that it depends on who trains/owns the horse and whether its the type of horse that is laid out for a gamble. If you see horses drifting from certain yards, I would be concerned, however drifts from other yards don't worry me as much. It also depends on the type of race too, and whether something is being heavily punted in the race. It is even more complicated currently due to lack of on course books, which means we are seeing false gambles and differences in odds between the bookmakers and the exchanges.
He must have traded very low in running as he came there cruising under that typical Spencer hold up ride but he blew up when asked a serious question. I am sure he is better than that but still it was a big disappointment. Hughes flew in by helicopter to watch him run in person, I hope he wasnt relying on prize money to pay the fare.
I also think that a lot depends on who the owners are. For example, if you take MPR you know the horse will have fifty owners, half those owners will tell their good mates that their horse is fancied, those good mates tell their good mates and so on. MPR winners have usually contracted in price! There are many gambling owners, JP Mc for one where you avoid them if they drift.
Prince Eiji 9/1 next at Newbury my only bet today. Ran well for a long way at Ascot last month and could come on a lot for being gelded. Think the fav is a false price, Frankie factor and all that, couldn't have it.
