No it couldn’t for the millionth time they didn’t want relegation Ehab thought he was being a great owner sticking with terry to prove a point He’s a **** judge Tbh it should have been easy to eke out 6 points when we restarted But we haven’t Even then boro could see the writing on the wall and appointed Colin. So tell me kemps could Colin have got us the 2-3 wins we needed? The answer is yes
... add to that the fact he (McCann) had a big say in the players we've brought in (proof if you need it that many of them he'd worked with before). It's his fault that we end up with such a shambles of a first team squad, with little to no spine, experience, nous, leadership, 'nastiness', etc. Bowen and Grosicki leaving didn't leave a gap in those respects. Even on the reducing budget, he should still craft a balance squad; he's hasn't, he's so naive and clueless. Many other players individually aren't that bad (including Taff), but the balance of the team is ****e. As is the management / coaching. So now all those who kept saying "but the Allams gave us our greatest times & achievements blah ****ing blah" are hopefully now silenced and embarrassed. They didn't give us our greatest times anyway, those came in 2008, May to December. They've instead given us amongst our worst times, ranking alongside other dark days when there seemed no hope, no light at the end of the tunnel, in fact no ****ing tunnel even. That's what destroys me, when there's no sign of hope due to **** owners and there's **** all a fan can do about it. They've left us in a far worse place than when they bought us, a division lower and our support decimated, and worse may still come. What a gift. What a legacy. The incompetent ****s.
Thankfully I avoided watching the game, as, like many on here I couldn't see us getting a result That normally wouldn't matter if the players put a shift in, but it just seems there is a total lack of effort on all fronts. However, the main reason was not to be putting another £10 into Ehab's pocket. It certainly seems Ehab had a good idea this would happen, that's why he wanted the season cancelling.
The answer is 'maybe', who knows? But one thing we definitely know is, the Allams didn't employ Colin.
And the overriding emotion after this total dereliction of duty is sadness mainly due to the apathy Of the owners. The last time we were in Division three we stayed there one season and I fully expect us to do so next season . When we enter division four the season after next .
The allams are the overall cancer in the club, but it's the totally useless, inept, gutless, talentless and out right ****ing **** manager that's the reason we are a L1 team now!! I hope we never see the spineless press conference dodging poor excuse for a man in the home dug out at our ground ever again!
Just woke up with a banging hangover. Still can’t believe we will be going down bar a miracle. Can’t believe that some people think this is all down to the players. Sure they have not performed but I am certain any manager worth his salt could have got more out of them than McCann and Byrne. I haven’t seen any sort of remorse or passion from those two. At least Taff spoke with some heart and apologised.
The players we have are more then good enough to stay up and would have done, if they had a leader, a coach and a man with a slight clue about the job he claimed to be able to do. Unfortunately we didn't have that. We had grant...
Apropos of nothing really but Taf, our occasional centre half, has a better goals/appearance ratio then Eaves, our principal striker. Just saying like...
I don't know, and no one knows for sure, if this is right, and gives mccann a bit of a free pass. A back 5 of long, elder, JDW, Burke and Lichaj is a solid championship defence, a mid 3 involving Leo, Stewart, honeyman, batty, Irvine, kane or Toral prob isn't winning you promotion, but again it's a solid set of cm options. Wingers and strikers since Jan, definitely questionable and where our main issues lie, not just in the attacking and scoring sense, but defensively teams are happy to fly forward knowing there's no fear factor in our front 3. All that aside tho, compare our squad since Jan to others at the bottom and you wouldn't immediately have gone, yep nailed on no hopers, esp with a 12 point head start, what mccann has not been able to do is get 11 players working for each other and battling for 90 mins, the absolute basics when in a relegation dog fight. He's been shown as unwilling or unable to change anything unable to motivate and you can't help but wonder what could have been with someone else in charge since even the restart.
Grosicki was, bowen next year. I do think that an extra 4 or 5 points in Jan, keeping us in the play off hunt would've seen a different approach to them being sold, but alas not to be.
